3. After about 5 minutes, when the putty has dried a little, start washing it off the glass using a wet cloth. Then wait 24 hours until everything is completely dry. The putty may dry out a little during this time. Then you will have to apply another layer, then wash all the glass again and wait another 24 hours.

4. The last stage is the most enjoyable! You need to carefully coat the glass with varnish - and your mosaic will shine!

The simplest ways to decorate flower pots.

Glue beautiful beads, buttons of interesting shapes, shells, rhinestones, pieces of plastic or glass, pebbles, amber onto the flower pot.

Mark the outline of the drawing with a simple pencil. In this case, you need to draw an oval, legs and head of the turtle. Fill in the outline with terracotta paint and draw a frame around the turtle.

Roll it over the surface of the paper, marking the top and bottom edges of the pot, as if you were making a pattern. Add a 2cm seam allowance on both sides to wrap the fabric over the edges. Then cut out the pattern.

Cover the pot with a thin layer of thickener and leave to dry. This will protect the surface of the terracotta and, acting as a primer, will help the fabric stick to the pot. Place the cut paper on the right side of the selected material and cut the fabric.

A little thickener and spread it over the surface of the fabric with a brush. Remove the workpiece from the dish and allow excess liquid to drain.

Do not wring out the material, otherwise it will wrinkle.

Wrap the fabric around the flower pot, smoothing it slightly so it lies flat. When doing this, pay special attention to the protruding edge of the pot.

Align the loose fabric allowances, make cuts in a circle at equal intervals and carefully fold them over the top
edge of the pot. If necessary, use a little PVA glue. In the same way, cut the material at the base of the pot, fold it under the edge and trim it, leaving the hole in the bottom uncovered.

Decorative bow

Cut a rectangle of fabric about a third the height of the pot, and twice the width. Coat it with hardener in the same way as a pot blank. Fold opposite long edges to meet in the middle, press and dry for about 45 minutes.

Place the resulting strip on the work surface, purl
side up and bring the short sides together in the center. Press and
leave to dry a little. Insert the bent pieces inside the bow
thick paper so that it retains its shape and leave until completely
dry until the bow holds its shape on its own.

Meanwhile, prepare a small piece of the same material for
central border and coat with hardener. Tie the prepared ribbon in the center, while aligning the ends of the bow.

Apply a little PVA to the back of the bow (at several points) and attach it to the pot and secure it. Leave to dry.

For this decoration, use fabric with a bold pattern, such as butterflies or flowers. Roughly cut out the silhouette according to the drawing, treat with hardener. When the workpiece is dry, carefully trim the outline using sharp scissors. Glue the applique to the pot. Press it with paper and wait until the glue dries.

The pots can be lined with corrugated cardboard box lining. The paper is cut into strips, glued to the pots and varnished. In appearance, such flower pots are in no way inferior to industrial ceramics.

Carefully press each violet to the white part of the pot and carefully brush over its surface with a brush with acrylic varnish. After all the violets have dried, the entire surface of the pot will need to be coated again with acrylic varnish. Now our flower pot is not afraid of water, it can be washed without fear of damaging the picture.

For decoupage, you can use two-layer napkins with beautiful designs, and designs on plain or rice paper. In the latter case, the technique will be slightly different:

Place the paper drawing in water for a few minutes, transfer it to a paper towel and blot thoroughly;
Apply a small amount of glue to the surface and to the back of the design;
carefully transfer the drawing to the surface, press it with a sponge (to remove air bubbles);
cover the entire surface with varnish or decoupage glue.

4. Be sure to buy regular clear construction varnish. It is much cheaper than those offered in art stores, but the function is the same.
The background should be applied to the pot with a roller or a piece of foam, but not with a brush, otherwise there will be streaks from the brush when it all dries

5. Cut out the design from the napkin and separate the topmost layer. Usually a napkin consists of 4 layers, sometimes there are 2. We take the top one - with a pattern.

6. Apply paint to the pot - let it dry. It is advisable to leave it for several hours so that it dries completely. Then you definitely won't get it wrong.
Using regular PVA glue, carefully apply a thin layer gradually onto our napkin.

Attention! Do not do it on the entire napkin at once if the design is large. Otherwise, it may stick with wrinkles that you can’t smooth out without tearing! It is better to do it gradually, but carefully.
Once you apply the pad, let it dry and harden.
Apply a thin layer of varnish with a brush over the entire surface of the pot and napkin.

The attractiveness and unusualness of decorating a flower pot is limited only by your imagination!

Outdoor pots made of concrete and cement are original. To make them, a classic recipe is used: sand, cement, water and aggregate are mixed in a ratio of 2:1:0.5:4. If you plan to create large flowerpots, it is recommended to use a reinforcing frame. To make the front surface ideally smooth, use sanding and a felt wheel.

To fill a concrete pot, molds from different materials are used. The main thing is that the product does not get wet and keeps its shape for five hours. Thick cardboard, a bucket, a glass, a tray, a plastic bottle, and a frame made of boards will do. You will also need a rag.

Algorithm for making a flowerpot from cement:

Take a container and wrap it with film.
Soak a rag with cement. It is important that there is not a single dry piece. To do this, the material is left in the solution for 10 minutes.
Place the rag on the container and straighten it carefully. You can make wavy edges or creases.

A plaster flower pot for a summer residence is made by analogy with a cement product. To work, you will need two plastic containers of different sizes, water, and plaster. Wooden flower pots

Wooden flowerpots made from boards are less common than clay and concrete ones. But they look original and have a number of advantages. For example, they are easy to process, durable, and easy to repair. Wood allows you to realize any design ideas. To work you will need a hammer, jigsaw, saw, floor chipboard, log or stump.

A piece about 40 centimeters long is cut from the log. Using a drill, several holes are drilled at the same distance from the walls. Make nests in the center to destroy the core. Remove excess wood with a chisel and form a pot. The walls must be strong and thick. The edges must be carefully aligned.

If you have a plastic pot of suitable diameter, it is better to place it in a wooden flowerpot. Otherwise, the inside of the container will have to be impregnated with moisture-proof compounds and lined with polyethylene. After all, wood is hygroscopic, and upon contact with moist soil, it begins to rot and deform over time.

It’s easy to make a plant pot from plastic bottles with your own hands. To work you will need plastic bottles, acrylic paint, a knife, a music disc, a glue gun, and scissors. First, the bottle is cut into two halves. An uneven edge will look more beautiful: in the form of a wave or a pattern. A disc is glued to the outside of the container (from the neck side). After drying, the structure should be painted in any color.

Let's consider another interesting way of making a flowerpot from a plastic bottle. It is implemented by analogy with the previous option. But the flowers are supposed to grow from the bottom. Seashells, stones, fragments of broken tiles and dishes, buttons, and coins are suitable for decorating the container. Before gluing these elements onto the pot, they need to be washed and degreased. It is advisable to apply glue to containers and decorative items. Then press the shells onto the surface and wait a few seconds.

When all the parts are glued, start painting the empty spaces. For this, it is allowed to use a mixture of PVA, cement and acrylic paints. The composition is applied with a brush.
