Reviews

Vasilenko T.E., endocrinologist, Kazan

It is prescribed to relieve pain in inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Well removes edema and inflammation. Some patients use it even with a heel spur. The composition practically does not cause side effects. Inexpensive, affordable and effective drug. Absorbed through the skin. Medical personnel are advised to work with it with gloves.

Julia, 32 years old, Biysk

On Sunday we went with friends to nature. It was hot outside, all the windows in the car were open, and I blew badly. The next day, I could not turn my head, because my neck was jammed, and raise my right hand. A neighbor, seeing in what state I was dragging from work, advised me to make a compress of Dimexidum, Analgin and Dexamethasone. These medicines were not in my medicine cabinet. She brought hers. I mixed them, soaked a piece of bandage, folded several times with the resulting solution. I put this lotion on the sore area of the neck and shoulder, covered it with a piece of plastic and wrapped it in a scarf.

It was not entirely comfortable: it tingled a little and smelled unpleasant. But after 30-40 minutes I felt better. The pain and inflammation subsided.

I also wanted to buy these drugs, but I could not buy Dexamethasone, because it is only sold by prescription. The pharmacist advised to purchase Novocaine and Dimexide and mix them for compresses with a small amount of boiled water. I am treated in this way for 3 days. There is no more pain.

Moshkina E.V., therapist, Krasnoyarsk

A good drug used in various fields of medicine. Allows you to relieve pain in joint diseases, gout, bruises and sprains. In the form of suppositories and tampons, it is used in urology and gynecology. It has conductive properties and improves the penetration of medicinal substances to the site of inflammation.

It is used in the treatment of manifestations of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. In combination with some drugs (for example, with Solcoseryl), it is prescribed for vascular diseases of the lower extremities. Helps to eliminate skin rashes and prvsche. Some patients even add it to their homemade anti-wrinkle masks.

Oleg, 49 years old, Abakan

The back hurt badly. After going to the doctor, she was diagnosed with herniated disc. To eliminate the pain syndrome, it was advised to make compresses from Dimexidum, Analgin, Dexamethasone and vitamin B. When carrying out such treatment, it is necessary to gradually increase the compress time by 5 minutes. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

I tied a compress overnight for 2 weeks. Already after the first procedures, relief came. The pain disappeared and the stiffness of movements disappeared. Now, when there is discomfort in the back, I do such compresses.

I'm happy with the result. Let Dimexide not treat the underlying cause of the disease, but quickly eliminate pain, discomfort and inflammation. In addition, it is much cheaper than the advertised ointments, and works more effectively. Now I recommend this tool to everyone I know.

To relieve inflammation or reduce pain, lidocaine, novocaine and other anesthetics are added to the solution. Sometimes the drug is diluted with alcohol, but this option is not suitable for the treatment of open lesions or burns. To obtain a 30% solution, 6 ml of DMSO must be mixed with 14 ml of distilled water. To obtain a 50% solution: 5 ml of water per 5 ml of the drug. How to dilute Dimexide correctly:

  • 20% is allowed for burns;
  • 30-40% is used to eliminate trophic ulcers and other purulent skin lesions;
  • 50% recommended for streptoderma, erysipelas;
  • 30-50% is the optimal concentration for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system and other diseases.

With novocaine

Before applying the compress, it is imperative to check the reaction of the skin to the drug. To do this, the tampon is moistened in a solution, applied to any area of the skin for 20 minutes. If there is no redness or itching, then the compress is allowed to be applied. How to dilute Dimexide for a compress with novocaine? It is necessary to take 50 mg of novocaine and 30 mg of Dimethyl sulfoxide. Mix the preparations, then moisten gauze in this solution, apply to the affected area, cover with plastic wrap, then insulate, keep the compress for one hour.

It must be remembered that the drug is never used in its pure form, otherwise it is easy to get a severe burn. To make a solution of Dimexidum for a compress, you should definitely use rubber gloves and do not overexpose it on the affected area. You cannot rub the drug into the skin, even if diluted, since the resulting chemical burn is difficult to cure later. Compress from Dimexidum should be done only with white gauze or bandage. If a colored cloth is used, then the medicine will draw the paint under the skin, and the person will get a serious allergic reaction.

To make lotions with Dimexide, it is necessary to dilute the drug with water in a ratio of 1: 4, then soak the gauze and apply for half an hour. Put a piece of polyethylene on top of the compress and cover with a linen cloth. Another way to use is face masks. It is easy to prepare them by adding an equal volume of tea tree oil to an aqueous solution of Dimexide (10%). Apply on pimples pointwise and leave on overnight.

For joints

For effective treatment, a compress with Dimexide on the joints is done by combining the concentrate with other drugs. It is effective for arthrosis to dilute Dimethylsulfoxide in equal proportions with analgin (in ampoules) and water. After 5 minutes of applying such a mixture, the pain disappears. With thrombophlebitis, doctors advise making a compress of Dimexide on the joint with heparin (ointment). For arthritis, a water compress is effective in equal proportions with Diclofenac (in ampoules).

Against cough

Rubbing and compresses with DMSO solution have long been used to treat throat and cough in adults and children. Inflamed airways need warming up from the outside and removal of internal symptoms, and the drug copes with this task perfectly. Dimexide for coughing must be diluted with warm water in a ratio of 1: 4, then make a compress according to the usual scheme. It is applied for 40 minutes exclusively on the chest, avoiding the heart area.

With bruises

Dimethyl sulfoxide solution is widely used in sprains and injuries. The compress helps the hematomas to dissolve faster, relieves tissue swelling and inflammation. Dimexide for bruises can be used 50%, if the integrity of the tissue is not violated. When the wound is open, apply a 10-20% solution. When the ligaments are stretched, if very severe pain appears, the doctor, in addition to pain relieving compresses, may additionally prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs that are administered intramuscularly.

This solution is very broad spectrum. Compresses with this drug are excellent for various pains in muscles and joints. And also, tracheitis and bronchitis. But the most valuable thing for me is the use of the drug as a mouthwash. Problems such as redness of the throat or sore throat with many abscesses pass very quickly after using Dimexide solution (a teaspoon of concentrate, a furacilin tablet and a glass of water).

Dimexide solution can also help in case of tooth root inflammation. The simultaneous rinsing with the solution and the application of a compress helped me to save the tooth, which, most likely, would have been removed, since the flux was very, very serious. Later, the tooth was successfully healed.
Now about the unpleasant. Dimexidum solution is very bad and smells very strong, either garlic, or something, it is not clear. Whoever is going to rinse his mouth must be mentally prepared. Personally, I can stand it calmly, but my older sister was constantly vomiting. Also, I noticed one interesting property of the solution. Wherever I apply the compress, after a while, the taste of Dimexidum appears in my mouth.
Warning. Any compress cannot be kept for more than 15-25 minutes, as you can get a serious burn. Be careful and careful!
I hurt my ring finger. I was in a hurry / cooked dinner /, did not process it. This is not the first time I have received such an injury, I have never had any problems. After three days, the lesion on the skin healed, but inside the infiltration / suppuration / began to ripen. I warmed it in a hot salt solution, let it go ... The next day, the condition deteriorated sharply: the finger became hot, began to "poke", put a Kalanchoe leaf. The condition improved, I went with the sheet for two days. I took it off at night, and in the morning I took it off from what I saw. The finger was swollen; when pressed, a purulent sac was visible under the skin. I applied a compress from a solution of Dimexide: I mixed 1 teaspoon of Dimexide in a clean bowl with 5 teaspoons of drinking water.
Honestly, I insisted on going to the surgeon. Komress "renewed" every hour / watered the bandage every hour with one teaspoon of the prepared solution.
The next day I woke up and saw an incredible picture: the finger decreased in size, the redness disappeared, inside the finger it stopped "puffing", it almost did not hurt. I even let a tear go. I didn't want to make an incision on my finger, as you know, scars decorate, but not women, but men!

Dimexide is an anti-inflammatory drug for external use. I was advised by a work colleague when the child had a cough and nothing could be cured. She gave me recipes for how to use it properly. I made the child a compress at night and the next day the cough was gone, they did only two compresses and everything went away. As it grabbed my back, I also did a compress and also helped. Here's how it is bred correctly:
With larengitis, tracheitis and bronchitis:
2 teaspoon Dimexide
1 teaspoon 2.5% aminophylline
7 teaspoons warm water
We mix everything and moisten a cloth on the chest or on the throat, on top of a bag and wrap it up, hold it for 30 minutes
For bruises, sprains, and osteochondrosis:
1 tablespoon of solution
2 tablespoons warm water
Compress for 30 minutes.
The only drawback is the specific smell of garlic. The tool is inexpensive, in my opinion, about 60 rubles, but it lasts for a long time. It is advisable to consult a doctor before use.

I have been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for many years. Dimexidum is my first helper and savior, he is always in my medicine cabinet. I use not only as a compress on the joints, but also add a few drops of undiluted Dimexide to any anti-inflammatory ointment and smear the sore spot, so the ointment penetrates to the site of inflammation faster.
When treating with Dimexidum, care must be taken - be sure to dilute as stated in the instructions! And as a rule, you cannot relieve inflammation with one compress, you need 7-10 procedures. But the effect is sure to come. And more about caution: the compress is applied for 30-40 minutes. This time should be spent in peace, to lie down. I had a sad experience. Having tied the compress tighter, I started cleaning, as a result I got contact dermatitis at the place of application, there was redness and itching for a week.

Sooner or later in life, you will still have to put a compress either for yourself or a close relative. I will tell you how to correctly put a compress with Dimexidum on the example of bronchitis in a child.
1. We dilute Dimexide 1: 2 (Dimexide: water) and apply it on the forearm with a cotton swab dipped in this solution, if after half an hour there is no redness, then you can put it, if there is, then we dilute it 1: 4.
2. Make the compress itself. Attention, the compress is not just cotton wool soaked in a solution and applied to the sore spot - the compress consists of layers.
1) Gauze or wide bandage;
2) Cotton wool;
3) Plastic bag in one layer;
4) Cotton wool;
5) Gauze or wide bandage.
It is this "sandwich" that is called a compress, which we soak in a solution, squeeze it slightly so that it does not drip and put it on the area below the shoulder blades (or where the doctor indicated) for the night for 30-40 minutes, then you can remove it. The compress is not warming1 do not expect such an effect from it.
Compress with Dimexidum is an excellent addition in the treatment of cough, it will help to cure the disease faster. Be healthy.

The drug Dimexide (dimethyl sulfoxide) is used in medical practice as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent.

Dimexide properties

has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effects,

improves metabolism at the cellular level,

resolves venous blood clots.

In what cases is Dimexidum used? How to use

The use of Dimexidum is practiced in the treatment of inflammatory and degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine and joints. Arthritis, polyarthritis, including rheumatoid, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis are successfully treated. At the same time, Dimexide is able to relieve inflammation and edema, significantly reduce pain and partially or completely restore the function of the organ. In addition, Dimexide improves metabolic processes in the cells of the cartilage tissue.

For diseases of the joints, therapy consists of a course of applications. Dimexide must be diluted with water 1: 1 to obtain a 50% solution, moisten a napkin with this solution, apply to the joint, apply polyethylene and a dry cloth on top. Leave on for 30 minutes. The course of treatment is 10-15 procedures daily, one at a time.

4. Thrombophlebitis, trophic ulcers

With thrombophlebitis, Dimexide enters the superficial vein and acts on the thrombus. With trophic ulcers, Dimexide is used in complex therapy with other drugs, significantly alleviating the patient's condition. For the treatment of thrombophlebitis, a 50% solution of Dimexidum is used, for the treatment of trophic ulcers - a 10-30% solution of Dimexidum.

Dimexide is widely used for bruises, sprains and other injuries. The drug dissolves hematomas, relieves inflammation and swelling of damaged tissues. With the integrity of the skin, a 50% solution of Dimexidum is used, in case of violation of the integrity (open wounds) - a 10-30% solution of the drug.

Restoration of the function of blood vessels using phyto- and apitherapy. Dimexide for thrombophlebitis

“Violations of the physiology of capillaries are so widespread and so often observed that they should not be considered a minor phenomenon, but on the contrary, one of the main elements of organic disorders, whatever the disease. Open clogged capillaries for each patient. Restore the patency of the ducts and the body will do the rest.

When the capillaries, closed due to illness or old age, open, then the cells of the body begin to receive enough oxygen and nutrients again, they acquire a full life. "

Abram Solomonovich Zalmanov, 30-40 years of XX century.

Consider from the point of view of A.S. Zalmanova processes occurring in the prostate gland on the example of prostatitis. Normally, on palpation, the prostate gland has a soft, elastic, elastic consistency.

With pathology(in the initial stage), the prostate gland is enlarged, the contours of the gland are smoothed: the walls of the vessels are thickened, their lumens are narrowed. Further, there is an accumulation of collagen-forming cells and a violation of the patency of blood vessels occurs, followed by sclerotization (wrinkling) of the gland, since the parenchyma is replaced by connective tissue. On palpation, the gland is hard, painful, and has a stony consistency.

In the treatment of prostatitis, restoration of microcirculation in the gland is of great importance. Traditionally, doctors prescribe anticoagulants (heparin), enzymes (such as trypsin), and escusan

It is difficult to find a doctor - an andrologist who does not prescribe a gland massage for the treatment of prostatitis.

Prostate massage one of the oldest methods of treating prostatitis patients. With finger massage of the prostate gland, blood supply improves and venous stasis in it decreases, arterial blood flow into the gland tissue, thereby improving its trophism and function, eliminating secretion stagnation and improving acini drainage.

The chemical compounds in garlic inhibit the formation of fibrin, which plays a role in the deposition of blood clots on the walls of blood vessels and blood clots. Garlic interferes with the chemical reactions responsible for breaking down cholesterol in the liver and decreasing cholesterol synthesis in the liver.

Garlic extract acts directly on the vascular wall and prevents the development of thrombosis, prevents platelet aggregation, reduces blood viscosity, reduces the level of fibrinogen, which is the basis of blood clots, and also improves microcirculation and promotes clot dissolution.

Garlic extract dilates blood vessels, lowers systolic and diastolic pressure, which is good for the vessels of the brain, eyes, and lower extremities. As a result of the latter, it is effective for intermittent claudication, varicose veins, thrombophlebitis. Garlic is a natural source of silicon. If calcium is the basis for the formation of bones, then silicon determines the properties of flexible and elastic structures, connective tissue of tendons, is responsible for the elasticity of blood vessels, cartilage, heart valves and veins. With a deficiency of silicon, calcium, as a more active element, replaces silicon in all flexible structures and makes them rigid and fragile due to their properties. This is how atherosclerosis, osteochondrosis, polyarthritis, valve calcification in the heart and blood vessels, obliterating endarteritis, intestinal atony arise.

Candles "NokChes" based on garlic extract are intended, first of all, to act on the walls of blood vessels, helping them to restore elasticity.

The extract from wax moth larvae contains enzymes, nucleotides, nucleotides, high molecular weight proteins, peptides, xanthines, hypoxanthine, serotonin-like substances, a huge range of trace elements and vitamins.

The extract from the wax moth larvae has a rich mineral composition, an active enzyme component that can actively relieve edema, inflammation, subcutaneous and internal hemorrhage, normalize blood flow in the microvasculature, stabilize mineral metabolism, and, as a result, improve the permeability of the vessel walls - venules, arterioles, lymph nodes.

  • Stimulates male potency, regulates the level of sex hormones, enhances spermatogenesis;
  • Shows anti-sclerotic properties, lowers blood cholesterol levels, has a heparin-forming effect;
  • With miscarriage, it is possible to correct various manifestations of placental insufficiency, violations of the rheological properties of blood, improve microcirculation;
  • It is capable of destroying the wax membrane of bacteria (including mycobacterium tuberculosis), reduces their viability;
  • Shows obvious anti-sclerotic properties, facilitating the dissolution of slag wax-like substances (in particular, cholesterol plaques) in the body;
  • Improves the structure of capillaries, microcirculation, nutrition and respiration of cells;
  • Normalizes the blood coagulation system, prevents thrombus formation (heparin-like effect);
  • Relieves bronchospasm, edema and inflammation in the lung tissue, dilutes sputum, eliminates the violation of the drainage and protective (including immunological) functions of the bronchi. reduces the level of intoxication;
  • Promotes the resorption of scars and their replacement with elastic tissue.

When using an extract from wax moth larvae, the difficulty is caused by the absence of a criterion for the effect on the body of this extract. However, studies on volunteers have shown that the use of an extract inside or per rectum in suppositories, on the 8-12th day of use, causes sputum to pass from the lungs, the drainage function of the lungs significantly improves in all patients, regardless of the presence or absence of clinical manifestations. This shows us that the capillaries, closed due to illness or old age, open and the cells of the body begin to receive a sufficient amount of oxygen and nutrients again, gaining a full life.

The use of "Sir" candles from the wax moth extract is aimed at dissolving and removing waxy (cholesterol) substances from the blood vessels, improving the condition of capillaries, microcirculation. respiration and nutrition of cells.

Antioxidants- These are substances that protect the cells of the body from toxic effects, which is especially important for intensively functioning systems, for example, the cardiovascular system. It has now been proven that the use of various antioxidants significantly reduces the risk of coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, hypertension and stroke.

Free radicals are abnormal molecules that attack cells, thereby disrupting the body's delicate chemical balance.

Antioxidants act as traps for free radicals, helping the body reduce tissue damage and speed up the healing process.

Maintaining the body in a normal state means maintaining the necessary balance between free radicals and antioxidant systems, the role of which is played by antioxidants.

When excess free radicals are formed in the body, the resulting pathology is called "free radical". Classic examples of free radical pathology are toxic hepatitis, atherosclerosis, cataracts, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular pathology, including coronary heart disease and other diseases.

Vitamins C, B6, B2, PP, carotene, quinoins, phenol carboxylic acids, steroids, tannins, etc. are found in green walnuts.

Green walnut extract- It is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, astringent, hemostatic, detoxifying, hemo-stimulating agent.

Green walnut extract is intended for widespread use, has strong immunoprotective properties, and promotes wound healing. It is non-toxic, possesses neither antigenic, nor immunotoxic, nor teratogenic activity. It is used as a remedy for acute and chronic inflammatory processes. It is a strong adaptogen and antioxidant, while stabilizing the cell membrane.

The healing properties of walnut extract attract patients with vascular lesions of the lower extremities. The extract has proven itself when applied at the initial stage of changes (the appearance of pain, fatigue of the lower extremities, cramps, the appearance and formation of varicose veins). Already formed varicose veins do not disappear without a trace, but the development of thrombophlebitis and the formation of blood clots are prevented.

The use of the extract leads to a decrease in edema and skin tension, healing of cracks and ulcers, and promotes elitization of wounds.

The use of "Gero" candles made from green walnut extract serves to protect the vessels of the small pelvis, abdominal cavity and lower extremities, reducing the level of tissue damage, accelerating the processes of regeneration and tissue.

It is known that the body of a bee is an original system that includes such glands as "milk" - for the production of royal jelly, wax - for the production of wax, poisonous - to protect the bee colony. The person has been using the products of these glands for a long time and successfully. In addition, he made decoctions and infusions from the dead bees to maintain his own health.

Preparations with bee extract cleanse the body, regulate metabolic processes, stimulate and normalize immune responses, increase the body's resistance to adverse external influences.

The chitinous cover of bees contains substances such as heparin and heparoids (natural blood anticoagulants), which can suppress inflammatory processes, stabilize blood pressure, have a healing effect on the hematopoietic system, the state of blood vessels (in particular, in the treatment of varicose veins, thrombophlebitis and cerebral vessels) ... Therefore, extracts from bees are used for prostatitis and prostate adenoma, uterine myoma, ovarian inflammation; in asthenic conditions, vascular atherosclerosis, obliterating endarteritis, impaired blood microcirculation in organs and tissues of the body, during the recovery period after infectious diseases.

Example. In the treatment of fibroids and other benign formations, suppositories with ASD-2 are prescribed, and the course lasts for months. When prescribed along with ASD - 2 suppositories "Apis", the recovery time is reduced by 2-3 times. Myoma in 10 days can be reduced by 2 times. This indicates the possibility of the extract from bees to actively influence the cardiovascular system, helping to transport ASD-2 to the site of injury (myoma, etc.).

Suppositories with Apis bee extract help suppress inflammatory processes in the blood vessels, thereby providing a healing effect on the entire body.

We are currently offering the following treatment regimen for prostatitis (or prostate adenoma).

1. Propolis suppositories with Dimexidum are used as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, regenerative agent (according to VF Orkin).

2. Suppositories with ASD - 2 - as an immunocorrective, antitumor and antiseptic agent.

3. Suppositories with an extract from bees "Apis" - as one of the main agents affecting the normal functioning of the prostate (according to E. Ludyansky), regulates metabolic processes and suppressing inflammatory processes.

4. Candles "Gero" (with green walnut extract) as an antioxidant and adaptogen, which helps to eliminate the consequences of the disease (neutralization of free radicals), increase local immunity.

As a result of the combined treatment of diseases of the prostate gland, we have good results (see the magazine "Beekeeping" No. 9, 2008), including treatment at home and the absence of the need for massage of the prostate gland.

Based on the practical application of the teachings of Dr. Zalmanov (in this case, for example, prostatitis) and the use of suppositories "NokChes", "Apis", "Sir", "Gero", we can conclude: after the treatment, it is necessary to work to restore the function and structure of the vessels in the prostate gland.

A group of volunteers (elderly people aged 63 and older, burdened with academic degrees), who previously used only propolis suppositories with Dimexidum for treatment and occasionally with ASD - 2 to 3 - 4 courses for a year, agreed to the use of new products.

Prescribed a course of treatment: candles "NokChes" and "Apis" for 20 days, 2 times a day rectally to bring the walls of blood vessels to normal, working condition, to lower cholesterol and calcium levels in the blood, followed by restoration of the elasticity of blood vessels. Then the candles "Sir" and "Gero" were used for 20 days 2 times a day rectally in order to "cleanse" the inner surface of the vascular wall from waxy (cholesterol) substances, strengthen and protect the vessels from further pathological changes.

Practice has shown that after these courses of "vascular therapy" the use of propolis suppositories with Dimexidum and suppositories with ASD-2 was practically not required. The restored and "put into operation" vessels with the help of the body performed their function.

Considering the above, we believe that vascular suppository therapy can be used not only in urology, but also in gynecology, oncology, in the treatment of vascular diseases as an independent non-traditional treatment, and in combination with the appointment of traditional methods of therapy.

After 35 - 40 years, protein synthesis in the cell decreases, metabolic processes are disrupted. To prevent early aging of the body, it is necessary to regularly take bioregulators, since there is no harm from them - these are not some chemical substances alien to the body, but natural substances that the body itself produces, but with age this process gradually fades (according to Vladimir Haviison - Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Chief Gerontologist of St. Petersburg, Vice President of the European Branch of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics).

Dimexide is a drug of the day for external use, which has analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This allows the use of Dimexide for many diseases, including joint diseases, bruises, wounds, in gynecological practice, and so on. But most often Dimexide is used in dermatology.

Dimexide (active ingredient - dimethyl sulfoxide) belongs to the group of anti-inflammatory drugs for external use. It is produced in dropper bottles in the form of a concentrated solution, from which, in accordance with the instructions, a solution is prepared for external use.

The mechanism of the anti-inflammatory action of Dimexide is associated with the suppression of the activity of free radicals and the improvement of metabolic processes in the focus of inflammation. The analgesic effect is associated with a decrease in the speed of conduction of nerve impulses in the cells of the peripheral nervous system. It also has an antibacterial effect, penetrates well through the skin and mucous membranes, increasing their permeability to medicinal substances.

In general, Dimexide has a local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial and some fibrinolytic (ability to dissolve blood clots) effect.

Indications for use:

Dimexide prescribed for various diseases and injuries of soft tissues and skin - bruises, sprains, purulent wounds, burns, erysipelas, eczema, trophic ulcers, pustular diseases, furunculosis, erythema nodosum. Dimexide is used for scleroderma and other skin manifestations of systemic connective tissue diseases. But it is especially often used for focal alopecia in adults.

It is also prescribed for thrombophlebitis, diseases of the joints and spine, accompanied by inflammation and pain - inflammatory processes in the joints, including those of an infectious-allergic nature (arthritis, rheumatoid, ankylosing spondylitis), metabolic diseases of the joints and spine (osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis).

In gynecology, Dimexidum is used to treat infectious and inflammatory diseases of the external genital organs (vulvovaginitis).

Mode of application:

Dimexide used mainly in the form of aqueous solutions (30 - 50%) for tampons, compresses. The compress should be applied to the affected areas, capturing the adjacent healthy skin. In the treatment of erysipelas and trophic ulcers, the drug is used in the form of a 30 - 50% aqueous solution of 50 - 100 ml 2 - 3 times a day. For eczema, diffuse streptoderma, compresses with 40 - 90% Dimexide solution are recommended. For pustular skin diseases, a 40% solution is used. For local anesthesia, a 25 - 50% solution of the drug for compresses is recommended, 100 - 150 ml 2 - 3 times a day. In the treatment of deep burns, dressings with a 20-30% solution of Dimexidum are used (if necessary, in a dose of up to 500 ml). In dermato-plastic surgery, dressings with a 20-30% solution of the drug are used for auto- and homotranslants immediately after the operation and in the following days until the graft is permanently engrafted. In case of postoperative purulent complications caused by staphylococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the drug is applied to suppurating wounds and infiltrates.

Side effects:

Dimexide usually well tolerated, but some patients may experience erythema, itching, dizziness, insomnia, adynamia, dermatitis, diarrhea. In some cases, with poor perception of Dimexide, nausea, retching, bronchospasm are observed.

Contraindications :

Dimexide contraindicated in severe cardiovascular failure and atherosclerosis, angina pectoris, impaired renal and liver function, stroke, coma, during pregnancy, during lactation, glaucoma, cataracts. It is prescribed with caution to elderly people. Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.

Pregnancy :

A drug Dimexide should not be taken if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Interaction with other medicinal products:

Dimexide enhances the effect of ethanol (alcohol inhibits the excretion of the drug) and insulin (with prolonged use of the drug, the dose of insulin is reduced), acetylsalicylic acid, butadione. drugs digitalis, quinidine, nitroglycerin, antibiotics (streptomycin, monomycin, etc.), sensitizes the body to anesthetics. The drug can be used together with heparin, antibacterial and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Dimexide can be used in combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the complex therapy of deforming osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, in combination with local antimicrobial agents (liniment syntomycin) - for the treatment of scleroderma, acne, erysipelas, furunculosis, folliculitis and other skin diseases in combination with heparin - with thrombophlebitis.

Overdose :

In case of overdose Dimexida allergic reactions (urticaria, edema) may occur. In these cases, the drug should be canceled, the damaged area should be washed, the drug should be removed.

Storage conditions:

Keep out of the reach of children, dry, protected from light.

The shelf life of the drug is 2 years. Do not use the drug after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Release form:

Liquid 50 ml or 100 ml in vials.

Composition :

1 bottle contains 50 ml or 100 ml of dimethyl sulfoxide.

Additionally :

Before starting treatment, you should consult your doctor. In view of the possible individual intolerance of Dimexide, it is recommended to carry out a tolerance test: the drug of the required concentration is applied to the skin with a moistened cotton swab. Sharp hyperemia and itching are a contraindication for the use of Dimexidum.

Considering that dizziness and weakness may occur in some patients when using Dimexidum, while taking the drug it is better to refrain from driving vehicles and mechanisms, as well as performing work that requires concentration.

Do not allow the drug to come into contact with mucous membranes and eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of running water and consult a doctor.
