Stages of the procedure

  1. Remove foam from the surface using a scraper. It is important that the foam does not spread to an even larger area of the surface and does not fall again; be extremely careful.
  2. Now you need to process the surface itself.

Surface products

Remember that there is no one-size-fits-all option for every surface.

If the surface is made of stone, concrete, metal, then you can wash the polyurethane foam using acetone and aggressive chemicals.

If the surface is made of glass or plastic, “dimexide” will help wipe off the mounting foam.

Dimexide is medicinal product for external use, which you can find in any pharmacy.

An alternative to dimexide is sunflower oil, which should be applied for half an hour and then removed with a damp cloth.

If polyurethane foam gets on the floor coverings, how to wash it? You can use this method if the polyurethane foam has just hit the floor.

Buy a special cleaner, it will soften the sealant, and then use a spatula to remove the residue.

If the surface is made of wood
(even if it is painted or varnished), dilute baking soda and salt in equal proportions, wipe the trace of foam with this solution and leave for 3 to 5 minutes. Use a kitchen sponge to wipe the surface.

If foam gets on your hands

The foam is not toxic or poisonous, which means it is not dangerous to humans.

How to wash foam from skin?

But if you can’t wait a couple of days, then what can you use to wash the foam off your hands?

There are several simple methods.

If foam gets on the fabric

How can you wash foam from clothes?

This will not be easy, since removal products can damage the fabric and change color.

If you still decide to try, we recommend using these tools:

  • stain removers;
  • White Spirit;
  • solvents for polyurethane foam;
  • petrol.

Action algorithm

It is almost the same with each product; it is very important to take into account the type of fabric and its features.

All of the above tips mainly applied to fresh foam that had not yet hardened.

How to clean dried foam?

This will be much more difficult, you will have to be patient and persevering, because most likely, to remove one stain you will have to use several methods or carry out the same method several times.

Select store-bought solvents specifically for a surface like yours.

Also purchase a brush with which you will apply the solvent, and also a spatula with which you will remove the solvent.

Algorithm of actions

  1. Using a knife/blade/razor, cut off the foam layer without damaging the surface.
  2. Use a brush and solution to work on the remaining layer of foam (follow the instructions written on the solution).
  3. Use a kitchen sponge to scrub the mark.
  4. Remove remaining product and dirt using a spatula.

In this article we told you how to get rid of polyurethane foam, but it is best to prevent polyurethane foam from getting on any surfaces.

Therefore, when working with polyurethane foam, follow these tips:

  1. be careful and attentive, it is better to wear unnecessary closed clothing/work uniform,
  2. You should prepare the surfaces and cover them with something, this way you will prevent unwanted foam from getting onto the surfaces.

How beautiful new doors and windows look, and what a nuisance the frozen foam on them can be! How to clean polyurethane foam with different surfaces during and after home renovations? Just some 40-45 years ago, polyurethane foam, or more precisely, polyurethane foam, began to be widely used in construction. Everything that is usually called polyurethane foam, it turns out, is divided into several types due to its different properties.

1 Marks and brands

Polyurethane foam is used for:

  • gluing (fixing);
  • filling voids;
  • heat and sound insulation.

Foam adhesive is used for fixation; the voids are filled with polyurethane foams with maximum expansion; when installing doors and double-glazed windows, material with high heat and sound insulation characteristics is used.

Polyurethane foams are produced in many countries around the world. The most famous brands:

  • Belgian SOUDAL;
  • Estonian PENOSIL;
  • German: Dr. Schenk, Illbruck, Kim Tec.

Manufacturers produce silicone foam for household needs and professional, winter, combined, two-component, fireproof, plastic sealants, pistol and other types. At the same time, the production of means for cleaning and washing surfaces from sealants and preparations for their dissolution is underway.

Imported and domestic manufacturers of polyurethane foam

Among Russian manufacturers The following brands are recognized as the best:

  • Profflex;
  • VladPromPen LLC;
  • DeLux LLC;
  • Premium product (Premium);
  • JSC Elf Filling (KUDO).

Polyurethane foams for installation work domestically produced products are not inferior in quality to their foreign counterparts and are superior in price, which makes them competitive in the silicone sealant market.

2 Precautions when working with polyurethane foam

Silicones can be used for the following surfaces:

  • acrylic or plastic;
  • varnished or painted;
  • metal;
  • with decorative coating.

When working with them, a small mistake is enough, and a greasy blob of polyurethane foam appears on the surface. Silicone sealants and foam adhesives have interesting feature: The fresh and dried product has completely different characteristics. Therefore, chemical removal from the surface is carried out in various ways.

When working with polyurethane foam, some precautions should be taken. Contact with material from any manufacturer should be carried out using thick rubber gloves. If you have to work with products with a strong chemical odor, you need to take care of a respirator or a cotton-gauze bandage.

Proper equipment when working with foam

The place of work also needs to be given maximum attention. The room should be cleared of furniture and other items as much as possible. Everything that cannot be removed is covered with film. It is better to lubricate things remaining near the place where the foam is applied with oil or rich cream. It is necessary to remove and cover everything that is possible in advance, rather than tear off the skin on your hands later, scrubbing off objects soiled due to carelessness and negligence.

To check whether the sealant is chosen correctly, you should apply a few drops of the product to the surface you will be working with, in an inconspicuous place. After 15-20 minutes, you need to rub it with a sponge or cloth. If the coating is not damaged, the foam was chosen correctly.

3 How can I clean surfaces from polyurethane foam?

As noted above, there are different cleaning methods for silicone foam when it is fresh and when it dries. How to wipe off polyurethane foam? Almost everyone who used the material in the construction or renovation of housing has encountered this problem.

Application of polyurethane foam

Those users who, when purchasing cans of foam, immediately purchase products that help remove it from various surfaces, hands and clothing, and from a construction gun, do the right thing.

4 Special preparations for removing polyurethane foams

Preparations should be selected according to the type of polyurethane foam, because they differ in individual properties and composition. In addition, it is better to take the solvent from the same trademark, which is the remedy itself.

Special substances will make it easier to wash the construction gun and help remove fresh stains of foam from surfaces with poor adhesion to its components. The preparations easily wash off polyurethane foams from glass and unpainted metal surfaces.

Careful handling of the gun

The basis of many drugs is acetone, therefore, due to its affordability, it is often used as a foam solvent. Fresh drops of raw material are also removed with white spirit and domestic solvent 646.

All these preparations are applied both to fresh and soft sealants and to dried stains. Only in the latter case, the drug that dissolves the mixture remains on it for at least 15 minutes after application to the stain. After softening silicone sealant it can be easily removed with cleansing wipes. Experts advise cutting off as much foam as possible from the surface before applying the drug. And it is strictly not recommended to use metal scrapers and meshes for cleaning.

5 Cleaning fresh foam

How to wipe off fresh polyurethane foam without using special preparations? The necessary chemicals are not always on hand. To wash off the polyurethane foam, you can use automotive paint thinner.

Some builders advise removing caulk with nail polish remover if other substances are not available. After this, the surface should be washed with soap and then with clean water.

In cases where all of the above products can damage the surface being cleaned, you can use regular sunflower oil. Before application, it is heated to +50...+60°C and generously applied to the foam stain. Place a piece of oiled rag on top. With this method, the stain does not dissolve, but it is easier to wipe it off the surface with an additional dish sponge soaked in oil.

6 How to overcome hardened polyurethane foam?

Dealing with fresh polyurethane foams is quite difficult, but the problem can be solved. It is more difficult if the stain went unnoticed and dried out. There is no point in washing off the sealant with water: water only makes the foam harden faster.

Removing traces of hardened foam

Before dissolving the stain, you should cut it off as thin as possible with a thin knife or razor blade. But this must be done carefully so as not to damage the top layer of the surface being cleaned. Some materials, such as unpainted iron, can be scraped off with scrapers made from pieces of plastic.

You can remove polyurethane foam in a hardened state using some chemical, food and medical means.

Dried marks on the windowsill

There are times when it is not recommended to remove a fresh stain of sealant, so as not to smear it on a surface from which it will be difficult to remove, for example, from plastic, glass, laminate. Then the foam is given time to harden, but not more than 30 minutes.

The sealant should not stretch, but should not dry out. Otherwise, it will firmly adhere to the surface being cleaned. Then from some materials it is removed mechanically, for others liquid solvents are selected.

7 Folk wisdom in the fight against polyurethane foam

People have adapted and use a variety of different means to remove stains from polyurethane foam. This:

  • turpentine;
  • vinegar;
  • medications Dimexide and Dimethylformatide;
  • sunflower oil.

Liquid substances from the pharmacy are quite aggressive and should be handled very carefully. After all, Dimethylformatide can easily dissolve many materials on the surface being cleaned. If you apply the product to a piece of sealant to be removed, then after waiting for 30 minutes it will crumble into powder. But great harm can also be caused to the surface being cleaned. Before using the drug, you should check the susceptibility of the surface material to it.

Special product for removing hardened foam

When using Dimexide, the material to be cleaned is also first tested for reaction with it. The sealant remover is applied to the stain for 20 minutes, and after leaving it is cleaned with a kitchen sponge.

For PVC coatings, liquid Cosmofen is used. The remainder of the cut stain is wiped with a cotton swab. The part of the surface near the area of contamination should also be wiped. Cotton swabs are changed after each treatment so as not to smear the dissolved stain on a clean PVC coating.

8 Cleaning doors, clothes, hands from sealant

Often users are faced with the problem of how to clean polyurethane foam from doors, hands, and fabrics. It is better to wash off the sealant while it is soft. You can use household cleaning powders.

Foam stain on clothes

WITH wooden door the material is removed with a solvent or by mechanical means scrape off the sealant. You can clean it with sandpaper or other abrasive materials. Finally, the surface is coated with varnish or paint.

Polyurethane foams are removed from clothing using solvents or special cleaners before the stain hardens. Before using the substance, you need to look at the tag on the clothing, because the solvent can eat the paint.

Wash off fresh sealant from your hands with acetone or any suitable solvent. If the stains are dry, it will be more difficult. Need hot water, cloth napkin, pumice stone, hand cream or, in extreme cases, sunflower oil.

You need to give your hands a hot bath for 30 minutes. Then wipe them dry, apply nourishing cream or oil to the skin and use a pumice stone to wipe off pieces of sealant from it.

When working with polyurethane foam, you should be careful, but there are many ways to deal with stains if necessary. For any case, you can choose the optimal solution.

There are two ways to remove the product from any tools: mechanical and chemical.

  1. Mechanical. To do this, you just need to use your hands and any piercing and cutting tool. Naturally, at the time of removing the foam, it must be dry, otherwise you will stain other tools. You just need to scrape using a knife, screwdriver, drill or any other device depending on the diameter and type of contamination of the tool. Most likely, traces of substance and mechanical damage will remain.
  2. Chemical. Suitable for even the most difficult task – cleaning the “gun”. It consists in using a chemical cleaner to remove the mounting filler. For something that has not yet hardened: Penosil, Foam Cleaner or OPPA. If the foam has already dried: PENOSIL Premium Cured PU-Foam Remover. To use this product, screw the bottle onto the gun adapter and press the gun until the cleaner begins to release. Then wait for the substance to begin to dissolve and pull the trigger again. You can ensure that the gun is clean if the cleaner comes out without any foam residue.

How to remove polyurethane foam from windows and doors

Depending on what material the doors are made of, the cleaner is selected. As with tools, the same names of tools are often used.

  1. For PVC doors and windows. Suitable for final cleaning of plastic surfaces or minor stains. The following products dissolve the mounting filler: Cosmofen 5 and Windows System Cleaner pro 5. These two products contain a potent household chemicals, so they must be used extremely carefully so as not to damage the plastic. This chemistry can dissolve it if the liquid is not removed from the surface in time!

  1. For hardened substances on surfaces. They also use various cleaning liquids, which were previously called: Penosil Foam Cleaner, Ultima Professional and OPPA. In order to treat the surface with them, you must first cut off the protruding “lambs”, and then rub the remaining substance with a sponge and cleaning agent. It is enough to apply a little force and mechanical friction, and the hardened foam, having dissolved, will begin to be removed.

Removing polyurethane foam from the floor

    1. Medicine "Dimexide". It is sold in any pharmacy and can remove a certain amount of the substance after you scrape it off with a knife. You need to wear gloves when working with the product.

    1. Cleaning agent. First, the frozen foam is removed with a spatula, and the residues are removed using Penosil Foam Cleaner and Ultima Professional solvents.
    2. Strong cleaner. It has already been mentioned earlier, and is used to clean tools. These are Cosmofen 5 and Windows System Cleaner pro 5.
    3. Any liquid. It has been tested in practice that, for example, foam can be removed from linoleum using only water. The principle of operation is simple: cut off everything you can, and put a wet cloth on the rest. After a while, everything can be removed without difficulty. Please note that after you carry out this manipulation, there may be stains on the coating that can only be removed by rubbing. Varnish and gloss coatings cannot be cleaned at all, but only replaced.

Dried foam on clothes

Cleaning foam from clothes is extremely difficult task, since it is necessary to use complex solvents that can harm the fabric.

  1. Stain remover. Treat the stain with a cotton pad in the liquid and wait for the substance to dissolve. You can also use gasoline. Be sure to wash your things. But there will probably still be stains on the fabrics.

  1. Low temperature. The item can be placed in the freezer, and after it freezes, cut off with a knife, and the remains can be dissolved with acetone. You need to be careful not to ruin your clothes.
  2. Foam solvent. If the filler has not hardened, you can use the solvents mentioned above. Remove the piece with a knife and remove the remaining residue with solvent. For hardened foam, accordingly, use the means provided above. Also cut off the foam, apply the product, wait 30 minutes and brush. Be sure to wash the item.

How to remove polyurethane foam from the body

If your hands are dirty, the situation is not so dire and there is no need to use complex cleaners. There are two most effective means:

  1. Mechanical friction. That is, you need to remove the foam by rubbing it with your hands. If it’s not all removed at once, it will still come off after a while.
  2. Sponge, scrub and water. An excellent option that can clean foam from the body. In addition, you can use acetone, solvent, salt solution. Directions for use: wipe with a sponge and a cleaning agent, or soak your hands in it for a while.

In the video you can see how easily any amount of foam can be removed with your hands and effort.

To wash plastic profile from the polyurethane sealant use “White spirit”, a remover for mounting guns or vegetable oil. It may also be useful pharmaceutical product called "Dimexide". To clean glass after repair, you can use vinegar, acetone, or scrape off the remaining sealant with a blade. In this article we will tell you how and with what to clean polyurethane foam from plastic windows.

It happens that during the installation of windows, builders carelessly stained the profile with polyurethane sealant plastic window, glass or window sill. An unfortunate accident. It is unlikely that you will be able to wash construction foam with powders, soap or Fairy; you will spend a lot of time and effort, and the effect will be barely noticeable. Remedies that work:

Washing fresh foam

Important! Do not try to remove stains with acetone, solvent No. 646 or No. 647; of course, they dissolve the foam, and at the same time the top layer of coating. You should also not use products containing concentrated acids and alkalis; they will not harm the profile, but they can dissolve the glossy layer, and the plastic will look worse. Hard brushes and cleaning powders scratch plastic, so it’s best not to use them either.

It so happened that during work the sealant accidentally got on some surface - you can wash it off immediately or wait until it dries. Most often, it’s enough to simply pick at a dry foam build-up with a spatula and it will fall off, but if you managed to smear the foam all over the window sill, it will penetrate into the material and it will be very difficult to wipe it off.

If you decide to wash the fresh sealant, then take two spatulas in your hands and carefully move the lump of sealant onto the other with one spatula. To remove the remaining mark, use one of the methods suggested below.

Hot vegetable oil

Heat sunflower or other vegetable oil, wet a rag and vigorously scrub the contaminated area. This product is good because it does not have such a strong smell as chemicals. drugs are cheap and will not harm the health of household members. Thus, you can wash a stained window, door, polished furniture, vinyl wallpapers and any other material. You can also try to eliminate dried marks with oil, but then after application you need to cover it with a rag and leave for 30 minutes, after which you can rub it.

Vinegar

Another “home” remedy that is always at hand. Soak a napkin in undiluted vinegar and, using force, wipe off any remaining sealant. This method works very well for removing sealant from glass, tiles and other smooth surfaces.

Chem. drugs

Until the polymerization process is completed, the sealant can be wiped off with a cloth soaked in White Spirit or an ethyl acetate-based mounting gun cleaner. If neither one nor the other is at hand, then it is better not to touch or smear it at all, let the foam dry, then it can be easily cleaned off with a blade.

When using chemicals, wear rubber gloves and work in a well-ventilated area.

Removing dried sealant

How to remove polyurethane foam from a plastic window if it has already dried?

Dimexide

You can easily get rid of dried sealant using a product that costs a penny and is sold at any pharmacy. It's called "Dimexide". First you need to carefully cut off the foam with a knife or blade so as not to scratch the surface. Moisten a cotton pad with dimexide, rub traces of sealant, wetting it generously, place the cotton pad on top and leave for 5-10 minutes. As time passes, the foam will soften and will easily roll off the surface; you just need to rub a little to remove any remaining foam.

Dimexide can be used on different materials: linoleum, laminate, metal, PVC panels, you can wash clothes smeared in foam. The only limitation: dimexide cannot be used to wash those soiled with foam. wooden windows, and other varnished surfaces.

Liquid for flushing the mounting gun

Important! When using solvents or gun cleaners, use a cloth white or before washing with colored sponges, napkins or an eraser, check them for color fastness. It will be a pity if the flap fades and indelible colored spots remain on the white profile.

  • Special products for removing polyurethane foam can be purchased at any hardware store, the choice is very wide: "KLEO PRO C50", "Reiniger", "Soudal Gun & Foum Cleaner", "Profilux", "KRAFTOOL KRAFIFLEX CLEANER", "COSMOFEN 10". Before use, carefully read the instructions and, just in case, test the product on an inconspicuous area of the profile. Dampen a rag, wipe off the stain and wash the area with soapy water so that the product does not corrode PVC profile, and at the same time, to get rid of the obsessive chemical smell.

When the repair is completed, contaminants of various origins remain on the windows, furniture and walls: paint, putty, traces of glue, etc. read the link.

Installers' Secret Tool

In the most difficult cases, builders use a homemade composition. Mix 50 gr. any liquid for washing mounting guns, 10 g. solvent A-649, the same amount of acetone and 20 g. vinegar essence. This product is said to instantly dissolve any brand of sealant.

Removing foam from various surfaces

Glass

Fresh sealant from a window or glass furniture can be wiped off with a cotton swab dipped in vinegar or white spirit. The easiest way is to wait for the foam to dry, cut it off with a stationery knife, and scrape off the remainder with a blade. Gasoline, kerosene, acetone, nail polish remover or any of the products described above can also come to the rescue.

Windowsill

For a PVC window sill you can use the same products as for window profile, of course, the composition of the plastic may differ and before using any cleaner it is worth checking its effect on the bottom of the window sill or somewhere on the side.

Wooden window sills cannot be washed with gun cleaner, white spirit, acetone and solvent; it is best to use vegetable oil.

Window sills and slopes, lined ceramic tiles can be washed with any means.

Floor coverings

  • Carpet cleaned with Dimexide, gasoline or kerosene.
  • Linoleum. If the coating does not have a textured pattern, then the sealant is allowed to dry and then simply torn off. It is more difficult if there are still pores or depressed patterns. Then for cleaning it is better to use white spirit or acetone, you need to apply the product, and then very carefully scrape it with a chisel. You can remove the sealant from linoleum using ordinary water; you need to cut off the protruding part of the lump, and put a wet rag on the rest; after 8-12 hours, the foam can be washed off without straining.
  • Laminate The easiest way to clean it is with vegetable oil, you can try using gun liquid. Do not clean with Dimexide, acetone or water (the laminate may swell from prolonged contact with water).

Tile

If foam gets on the floor and stains tiles, then it can be washed with any of the above products or wiped with a cotton pad soaked in vinegar.

Polishing, parquet, wood

The varnish deteriorates from contact with solvents and Dimexide, so all that can be done is to try to remove the foam mechanically and wipe off the remaining residue with heated vegetable oil. If it doesn’t help, then you’ll have to put up with the stain. The same goes for polished furniture, parquet and any painted surfaces.

Fabrics

It’s a shame when the upholstery of the furniture was stained with foam during renovation. Try not to smear the foam ball, wait until it dries completely and tear it off; if the fabric has a long pile, you may have to cut off the lump along with a small part of it. Smoother surfaces can be washed with the same gasoline, Dimexide or kerosene, or if the cover is removable, then soak for 12 hours and wash. The same goes for clothes.

If you exercise often repair work, then they probably used polyurethane foam. And you certainly know how difficult it is to get rid of its remnants. The main advantage of this product is excellent adhesion and adhesion to materials. This same property also becomes a disadvantage of polyurethane foam when it accidentally gets on clothes.

Methods for removing fresh polyurethane foam

Experienced builders and repairmen recommend immediately purchasing a special cleaner along with the mounting foam. No matter how confident you are in your strengths and dexterity, such work cannot be done without contamination. Fresh polyurethane foam is easier to remove from fabric than hardened foam, but this task also requires effort. A special cleaning product will do a great job, so don’t neglect it.

Moreover, it can be bought at the same hardware or construction store, and it is inexpensive.

Buy a special cleaner along with the polyurethane foam.

So, if you have stained your clothes with foam, immediately pick up the cleaner and get started.

  • White Spirit;
  • But even if you haven’t bought such a useful miracle product, don’t despair. You can use other substances:
  • refined gasoline;
  • acetone;

nail polish remover.

Photo gallery of substances for removal Compared to a special cleaner, these products have some disadvantages. Firstly, working with them will take a little longer. Secondly, they can dissolve the paint on the fabric, and with intense exposure, the fabric itself. To be sure, try these substances with inside

item of clothing, in an inconspicuous area.

If the product has not damaged the paint or structure of the fabric, feel free to proceed with cleaning the item in the same sequence as when working with a special cleaner.

Note! All of the products listed are toxic. When working with them, do not forget to ventilate the room and avoid direct contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth and nose. Use a respirator and household gloves.

When renovations are in full swing, there is not always enough time to pay attention to the little things, and dirt often goes unnoticed. You used to look at your work jacket, and there would already be a frozen stain in all its glory. A hopeless situation: a good thing will have to be thrown away... Nothing like that! Even dried, old stains of polyurethane foam can be removed thanks to patience, skill and quite affordable means. True, these methods will take more time, but the result will be no less effective.

This medical product is sold in any pharmacy and is inexpensive. Dimexide is intended for external use, and its active ingredient - dimethyl sulfoxide - can even dissolve superglue; What can we say about polyurethane foam? A concentrated, undiluted solution will easily clean any fabric.

Dimexide is a cheap and effective remedy

Instructions for use:

  1. Gently scrape off as much of the remaining foam from the clothing as possible. Use a knife or spatula for this.
  2. Using a rag or cotton wool, apply dimexide to the contaminated area and leave for 30–40 minutes.
  3. Remove the dissolved foam, clean the remaining stain with a brush.
  4. Wash cleaned clothes with powder or laundry soap and rinse thoroughly.

Special solvent

Purchase a special cleaner for cured foam at a hardware store. In its properties, it is similar to the product that we recommended buying in point 1, but its effect is much more intense.

Special solvent for dried polyurethane foam

Remove large pieces of frozen foam using a knife, and treat the area of contamination with the compound. Leave for 20 minutes to soften the stain and scrub with a brush or sponge. If necessary, repeat the procedure again. Afterwards, rinse the fabric in warm running water.

Refined gasoline with stain remover

Instead of gasoline, you can use white spirit. Also remove any remaining foam from the fabric. Rub the stain thoroughly with a cotton swab dipped in gasoline and leave for half an hour until the stain is completely dissolved. After this, treat the area of clothing with stain remover. Wash and rinse the item.

Be careful! Gasoline and white spirit in combination with a stain remover can leave stains on the fabric: the paint will come out along with the mounting foam.

Exposure to cold

Place the soiled clothes in a bag so that the foam stain sticks out. Place in freezer refrigerator until the foam freezes completely. Frozen foam can be easily removed with a knife. Scrape it off, and carefully remove what remains with nail polish remover or solvent. Be careful not to damage the dyed fabric. Then wash and rinse the clothes.

sunlight

This method will take a lot of time, so use it if you are in no hurry.

Impact of direct sun rays destroys the structure of the sealant in the polyurethane foam. Contaminated clothing should be kept in the sun for several days. At the same time, knead the foam with your hands as often as possible so that it moves away from the fabric faster.

The method is well suited for things made of durable and dense fabrics, which are no longer very pity. For example, old work jeans or a canvas jacket will definitely not be damaged.

Fats are good at cleaning hardened stains from stubborn products such as varnish, paint and polyurethane foam.

Try using vegetable oil to get rid of impurities

Preheat a small amount of vegetable oil and apply it to the contaminated area, previously cleaned of pieces of dried foam. Wait 5 minutes for the stain to soak through. Sprinkle washing powder on top, lather thoroughly (add a little water if necessary). Dry the fabric thoroughly, then wash thoroughly.

Repeat the procedure if necessary.
