Beautiful crafts for the garden from tires. Stork made from tires Stork made from tires step by step instructions

D This master class will allow you not only to breathe a second life into old tires, but also to decorate your garden plot. Today we will make a flowerpot from old tires with our own hands.

So, for work we will need:

  • An old tire with a shallow radial tread, without steel cord;
  • For the clamp - a strip of iron;
  • Large sharp knife;
  • Two M8 washers, a nut and a bolt;
  • Brush and paints;
  • Spanners;
  • Drill diameter 10 and drill.

The process of creating a flowerpot from old tires with your own hands:

1. We take a large sharp knife and, constantly moistening it with water, make symmetrical cuts on the tire 2/3 (240 degrees) along the bead ring, as shown in the figure. Protector and side part cut at a distance of 1/3. On the larger side, use a triangular cutout to separate the side part.

2. We get this cut piece of tire.

3. We turn it inside out.

4. We cut out the beak from the trimmings of the side part.

5. We cut the smaller side of the tire lengthwise. The cut should be slightly larger than the size of the beak.

6. We insert the beak and use a clamp to compress the halves.

7. We drill a hole with a drill and use two washers, a nut and a bolt to tighten the halves of the head.

8. To make the head narrower, cut off part of the tire on both sides. It should look like this:

9. We mark the larger side of the tire with chalk and cut out the tail.

10. This is what our workpiece looks like. All that's left is to paint it.

11. We make a clamp from a strip of iron, with the help of which we tighten the side parts of the flowerpot. If you don't have an iron strip at hand, you can use a strong rope.

12. Now let's start painting the parrot. We use blue, yellow, black and white paints.

13. We paint the parrot inside and out. We paint the side rings with black paint. If you don't have black paint, you can leave them unpainted.

14. We carefully paint the head, trying to achieve maximum resemblance to the original. We make black stripes and eyes with a black outline.

15. The finished flowerpot made from a tire with your own hands must be suspended using a strong rope or wire from a horizontal structure. And inside you can place a flowerpot with a beautiful plant.

Thanks to Oleg Vashchenko for the master class!

Tire flowerbed

A flower bed made from a tire, or maybe more precisely a flower vase made from a tire, has now become popular, maybe someone will be interested in how to make it, so my master class or story about how to make a flower bed from a tire.

A wheel from a Zhiguli car was found for the flowerbed.

1. We outline the contours of the “petals” of the vase with chalk, trying, of course, to maintain symmetry:

2. Cut out the petals; of the methods we tried, a knife with water was found to be the simplest and most not labor-intensive. Dip a regular knife into water periodically and slowly cut.

3. After all the petals have been cut out:

To do this, let's take an old tire - the older it is, the better, since it is easier to cover the worn tread with an even layer of paint and give our craft a more natural look.

You will also need paint and a sharp knife; some also use a jigsaw and grinder to cut rubber - but using them requires certain skills, and you must also take into account that when heated, the tire may begin to melt.

Before you start cutting out the swan from the tire, you need to draw contours on it, along which you will cut out the parts. You can think over your own swan pattern, the main parts of which are the neck, head and wings. We offer you the following scheme, which is relatively simple, but can be further supplemented with decorative details or additional cutouts, slits, or jagged edges.

Having made the necessary cuts on the tire, it must be washed thoroughly and preferably degreased, and then begin painting - then it will last longer and withstand any weather.

Then you need to bend the swan's wings, giving them the final shape, you can also cut out the jagged edges of the wings and tail to make your swan very lifelike.

Also, before painting, you need to fix the swan’s neck and give it the desired bend using thick wire, which you will disguise with paint.

And the final stage in making a swan is painting its head and beak. You can also use other materials, for example, using foam plastic cut out in the shape of a swan’s head attached, you can get a pretty nice swan, more like a real one.

Well, now your garden and flower garden will be decorated with a wonderful swan. If you have a pond, then undoubtedly a swan will be an excellent addition to the design and decoration of your pond and recreation area near it. And of course, a swan made from a tire can become an excellent flower bed - to do this, it is enough to place a pot with flowers in its center.

DIY tire crafts are a common phenomenon. The source material is strong, resistant, and can be easily processed at home, but there is no regular acceptance of used tires for recycling at a more or less attractive price and is not yet expected. Master craftsmen are gifted, quick-witted people, and sometimes from such base material as tires, they create quite aesthetic objects, see fig. :

However, the purpose of this publication is not to delve into the intricacies of rubber decor. Decorations and fun crafts on the site part landscape design. Attribute it to decorative arts or highlight in independent species applied masters have not yet decided finally, and in all applied arts the canons are even less rigid and more linked to practical needs than in the fine arts. Therefore, your “like or dislike” in relation to rubber products is in this case the determining criterion for evaluation. But when working with rubber, you need to have a clear understanding of its properties - they have far more than just aesthetic significance.

What you need to know about tires?

The tire of a modern car is a complex multi-layer product. In general, it consists, if you go from the inside out, of:

  • Internal protective layer made of soft rubber. In tires with tubes, it protects the cylinder shell from rubbing. The inner layer of tubeless tires is made of gas-tight rubber that flows slightly under pressure so that the heel of the tire adheres hermetically to the wheel rim.
  • Shock-absorbing and damping layer. Damping filler (harder rubber) absorbs shocks and vibrations. Reinforcement with an elastic cord distributes instantaneous point loads throughout the volume of the damping filler.
  • The tread is an outer durable wear-resistant layer made of the hardest rubber.

Note: In self-healing tires, between the inner and shock-absorbing layers there is a layer of self-expanding elastic plastic.

So, the necessary properties of the tread are ensured by vulcanization of the raw rubber mass for it using the so-called. ultravulcanizers. The most common of them is tetramethylthiuram disulfide (TMTD). Yes, you read that right. The same thiuram or thiuram D, no less notorious than DDT. As a rat poison and insect repellent, it seems to have fallen into disuse due to its cumulative effects with very bad long-term consequences. But there is no safe replacement for thiuram in the rubber industry yet - its analogues, if technologically better, are more expensive and no less dangerous.

In the comments to crafts made from tires, you can find questions like: how to get rid of the smell of tires? But things made from wearable and food-grade rubber don’t smell like tires. This is the same tiuram. It is volatile: it sublimates, changing into a gaseous state from a solid without melting. Of course, if you take the tire with your hands, nothing bad will happen. But regular contact of body surfaces or its presence in residential and/or poorly ventilated areas is extremely undesirable.

Old worn tires do not carry thiuram. But it remains in the mass of rubber and gradually leaks out. Therefore, firstly, from the number of crafts made from tires, it is necessary to definitely exclude any furniture and accessories for children's games, during which it is inevitable to touch the rubber with bare skin, pos. 1 and 2 in Fig. Interesting elephant pose. 2 this is generally bad: after all, children will regularly fidget in places on it, the disturbances of which will later ruin adult life. Playground equipment made from tires should be made in such a way that you want to walk on it with your feet and only occasionally touch it with your palms, see below.

Secondly, hanging swing for children and adults. As for ground-based balancing swings, then... 3 is an unsuccessful sample: on it, friction between the bare skin of the legs and bare rubber is inevitable. Swing on pos. 4 will be harmless if the vapor-proof painting of rubber surfaces (eg acrylic enamel for exterior use) is regularly updated.

Mechanical properties

Tires for various conditions operation differ quite significantly in mechanical properties. This is important for shaping the appearance of crafts made from them. Whether it will be possible to give the desired shape to a tire product depends, firstly, on whether it is summer or winter. Summer tires are harder and more difficult to process, but hold their final shape better. Winter - softer and more elastic. Secondly, from the cord in the tire: steel, radial or diagonal, or nylon - radial, diagonal or cellular. The type of cord determines how the cut tire will unfold and what shape it will take if the workpiece is turned out. It is impossible to change the resulting shape at home.

Note: turning a tire inside out to make a craft reduces its harmfulness many times over, because the rubber of the inner layers of the tire is vulcanized by other, more in safe ways than the protector.

In general, you can make crafts from tires with your own hands as follows:

  1. Flower beds, flowerpots, flower beds, florists;
  2. From unturned tires - seasonal berry gardens for non-marsh herbaceous berries that overwinter with rhizomes - strawberries, blueberries, lingonberries, blueberries, princelings, cloudberries. These crops do not accumulate complex foreign organic matter in the fruits and almost do not accumulate sulfur compounds. If their roots do not come into contact with the tread rubber, the crop will be harmless;
  3. Household crafts for outdoor use and/or non-residential ventilated premises;
  4. Decorative crafts to decorate the site and have fun, subject to the above conditions.

About containers for flowers and berry beds made from tires. With that out of the way, let's move on to the rest.

From tires to farming

In household crafts made from tires, the foreground is its high durability, elasticity, ability to absorb mechanical loads and tread adhesion to almost any surface. In some cases (everything is poison and everything is medicine), even something as nasty as vulcanizer fumes can be useful.

For example, at pos. 1 pic. Below, the upholstery of the treads of wooden steps of an attic or basement staircase allows you to build a climbing staircase (which you can climb/descend while holding a load with both hands) with an inclination of up to 55-60 degrees. Reducing the amount taken away by stairs usable area may be decisive for the layout of the entire building. Some of the thiuram vapor will penetrate the wood and remain there, further protecting the wood from rotting. And if a step breaks under your foot, then a through hole will not form and the likelihood of serious injury is reduced many times over.

Upholstering the bottom of walls, e.g., a barn, with a wide tire plinth (item 2) only protects the wall from mechanical damage garden tool. For the reasons stated above, the likelihood of pests and mold entering such a wall is also reduced many times over. In an unheated room this is very important. Well, the use of tires for home bicycle parking (item 3) requires no comment.

A drainage well or a waste pit made from tires is more than doubtful: harmful sediment accumulates in the ring hollows formed there, which is very difficult to get rid of. Because of this, a septic tank with activated sludge in a tire shell quickly dies. But the tire as the lower flange belt of a decorative mini-reservoir (item 4) is a special issue. To plant the most beautiful aquatic plants, the depth of the reservoir must be significant; in any case, more than the standard depth of soil freezing in a given location (NGD). With increasing depth, the gravitational pressure of water and its seepage into the ground increases. In this case, lateral runoff from the reservoir can increase to the point of underground erosion of the soil with all the unpleasant and unnecessary consequences. The tire shell directs the leakage downward. Then, on the contrary, clogging (colmatage) of the bottom soil increases - its compaction under water pressure and the pores being filled with dense silt. The reservoir quickly begins to hold water, and the biological regime in it is also established faster.

Note: Any tires can be cut with a jigsaw. Tires with nylon cord can be cut by hand with a sharp, hardened steel knife. Tires with steel cord are manually cut with a hacksaw with the end of the blade removed, see fig. on right.

At pos. 5 is not just a ladder made of tires. It was built in a ravine, which could not be eliminated by any other means. Thanks to the tire filling, rain erosion in this area stopped and the entire runoff and slope were stabilized. In this case, the elasticity and high durability of the tires played a positive role: can you imagine a tire washed away by water? And since the tires do not form a continuous waterproof coating, then surface runoff does not need to concentrate somewhere nearby - it can disperse and become safe. Therefore, the danger of a cliff landslide behind a self-draining retaining wall made of tires (item 6) is extremely low in any geological conditions.

Decorative crafts made from tires

Beautiful original craft Will definitely attract children's attention. And it will make you want to play on it or with it. There is no need to prohibit and dissuade - why offend and suppress natural interest, it is harmful to him (her). But - tires! With her, it’s better if children’s attention is limited to looking. If the game is going to start, then they should not crawl with their whole body, but rather step with their feet.

Technologically, the easiest way to do this is to provide a figure made of a solid tire with a neck and head, see fig. You can't roll forward - your neck gets in the way. Not yours, hers. It’s inconvenient to slide back from where you got in; you need to turn around on your heel. You can’t sit on the figure’s neck – the deep narrow gap gets in the way. Remember the funny elephant above? His gap between his neck and torso is smaller and wider. You can sit tightly and turn around to slide back - sliding on the tires.

A diagram of the construction of a simple figure made from a tire with an additive unsuitable for riotous games is shown in the figure:

Figures of long-necked animals, poses, look best in this design. 1-3 in Fig. below. A column made of noble material reduces the visible utilitarianism of the tire, even if everything is painted uniformly. In this case, the tire is given away by its shape, and the pillar, especially if it is not quite even, creates an imaginary asymmetrical contour with it. If there is no suitable cutting of a log, a short block of wood is suitable for the neck, and a plastic bottle for the head, pos. 4.

You can “smear” the too clear outline of the tire with just your head without a neck, if you choose a suitable prototype of the figure. Elephant at pos. 5, in contrast to the one above, not only does not contribute to inappropriate games (the proportions are different), but also looks more lively. By the way, the pattern of his head was developed based on the pattern of a swan figure from a tire, see below.

At pos. 5 - original solution, applicable where the figure from behind is not visible or it is inconvenient to view it from there. The flat plywood head and tail also look good from a limited area, but the tail generally makes the figure perceptible only visually.

Let's start cutting rubber

The “head principle” is also used in such fairly popular crafts as snails made from tires. To make them, both round sidewalls are cut out of the tire (they may be useful for something else), and a corrugated strip is used. Tires with nylon cord are suitable for making snails: the corrugated strip of them, when turned out, itself rolls into a spiral. From such a summer tire a snail with a high shell is obtained (pos. 1 in the figure), and from a winter tire with a low shell, pos. 2. In both cases, the head is supported by a curved pin made of 6 mm rolled wire. A strip of a tire with a steel cord will not turn inside out at all, and a snail will come out of it somewhere like in pos. 3.

It is possible to minimize technological operations with rubber (quite labor-intensive) and make the figures attractive only visually by composing them from several tires. An obvious option is figures made from tires sticking up, pos. 1-3 in Fig. below. Their modules are fastened with pieces of the same wire rod. Painted plywood inserts are attached with self-tapping screws. Hands/paws - from a strip with steel cord (pos. 2) or, more flexible, with nylon, pos. 3.

A decorative figure from solid tires can also be assembled lying down, using the “head principle” in combination with something foreign to the rubber nearby, making it clear that they are not playing here. And if they play, then carefully. At pos. 4 is a mini monoflower solitaire. Don’t frown with disgust at the “solitaire”. Literally this means “lonely”, “only”. A monoflower is planted with one type of plant, while a solitaire monoflower has only one.

Note: tires can be folded mixed into a simple decorative figure, lying down or standing up, pos. 5. You can revive your face by using the simplest techniques for cutting tires, pos. 6.

Trying to cut rubber

The simplest way to cut a tire is to make diametrically opposed triangular cuts in its sidewalls. Then the tire is flattened crosswise using a rope loop and a gate stick, and the convergent edges of the cutouts are fastened with screws, bolts or staples made of thin soft wire. If the outer bends of the corrugated strip are needed sharper, it is cut to the cord. Made in this way, for example. the base of the fish is made from a tire, see fig. on right.

It takes a little more work to cut the grooved strips out of a pair of tires. But they will be used not only for snails, paws, etc.

It's fun to trample on them, but it's uncomfortable to lie on your stomach on them, and you won't be able to roll off the crocodile on your butt. In the video, see many options for crocodiles made from tires:

Video: tire crocodiles

More work will be required to cut out the entire round sidewalls from the tire, but only from the heel (technical term) - the inner thick parts with which the tire sits on rim. But the inner thin edges of the resulting trim can be brought together and sewn together to form a sleeve. The most resistant to transverse deformation sleeves, at the same time quite flexible along the length, come from tires with steel cord. The required longitudinal bend is given to them by inserting sections of wire rod or pipe inside. In this way, you can, for example, make a voluminous turtle that looks much more convincing, see fig. on the right than turtles made from tire scraps. The latter are generally just a stylization of a turtle and therefore are more suitable as the basis of a mini-flower bed made of tires, and the voluminous sleeves will also be used for boa constrictors, caterpillars, elephant legs, etc.

We cut for real

It is convenient to demonstrate the possibilities of complex cutting of a tire along an induced contour using the example of such a popular craft as a swan made from a tire. Firstly, a swan of one kind or another can be obtained from a tire for any season with any cord. Secondly, a swan made from a tire is unsuitable as a game accessory. Thirdly, based on the swan pattern, you can make many other different figures and/or their details.

The marking of the tire for making a swan and the development of the pattern according to it are shown in the figure:

Pay attention to the blackened parts of the scan - we will need them soon. The very appearance of a workpiece cut in this way (inset on the bottom right) gives an idea of its capabilities: by modifying the markings, you can get 50 or more varieties of swans from a tire, see video:

Video: 50 options for swans made from tires

However, not every tire will produce every desired swan. Which one can be made and what it will be more suitable for depends on the type of tire (winter, summer) and its cord.

The molding of the swan figure in any case is carried out by inserting wire rod; its location is shown in pos. 1 pic:

But you won’t be able to mold the wings just at will. From summer rubber with metal cord you can make flower beds (portable flower beds), stylized as swans, pos. 2. Also from a summer tire, but with a nylon cord (preferably a cellular one), swans with raised wings emerge, pos. 3. The arches of the swan’s wings made of winter tires with a radial cord (preferably steel) can be made split, and the wings can be lowered, pos. 4. If the cord is nylon, then it is impossible to cut the arches of the wings from behind (pos. 5): the wings will soon lower themselves to the point that they are pressed against the sides of the figure.

Relatives near and far

The swan pattern from a tire is almost universal for this type of product. Based on it, you can make not only the head of an elephant, but figures that are very distantly related to birds. But let's start with those that are closer.

To get a rooster (grouse, pheasant, etc.) from a tire instead of a swan, pos. 1 in Fig., you need to mark half of the grooved tread strip along the length in the proportion of approx. 1/3:2/3. The larger part is cut out, turned over, this will be the tail. The remainder is cut lengthwise and a head is formed from it. The “hanging” parts of the sidewalls are bent and the bends are reinforced with wire rod - these are the wings. It is preferable to take a winter tire with a radial or diagonal cord (preferably steel).

For a peacock or firebird (item 2), make 3 cuts in 3/4 of a circle on the sides. Uncut parts should be arranged in pairs perpendicular. The first 2 cuts lead closer to the grooved part of the tread (these will be the wings), and the inner 2 are at the very heel. The head is formed from the bend of one part of the sidewall with the “skirt”. From another tail; its “skirt” is cut into scallops.

In flamingos (herons, cranes, storks, marabou) from tires, pos. 3 and 4, the view is quite birdlike, as far as this allows raw material. But it’s not for nothing that the one on pos. 4, evokes associations with the flying crocodile from jokes: a flamingo is cut from tires “crocodile-style,” only the blanks are shifted along relative to each other. A head is cut out at one protruding end; on the other is a tail. For flamingos at pos. 3 you need a winter tire (preferably with a cellular cord); the one on pos. 5, can be obtained from any one. How to make a flamingo from a tire, see also the story:

Video: crafts from tires

Technologically, not only related, but almost identical to the swan is the unreal, but also flying Serpent Gorynych, see the screensaver and in the video gallery below. For this purpose, the bird's head and tail are not marked on the tire: instead, straight stripes are cut out. Each strip extends into 3 ribbons. One trio of ribbons transforms into heads; the other in the tails. For greater persuasiveness, it is better to take a softer tire with a cellular nylon cord; perfect option– tire for European conditions ride. Then fairly narrow ribbons can be sewn into sleeves.

Video: Tire Animals

Let's combine...

Of course, all the described methods for cutting and assembling decorative crafts from tires are applicable together. One example of what can be achieved by combining them is shown in Fig. on right. A tortoise shell is made from a cut-out round sidewall of a soft tire with a radial or diagonal nylon cord, stretched over a wheel rim and turned inside out. If you cut a blank for the shell from the same tire, but with a cellular cord, its edges will be bent downwards and inward and the shell will be more convex; then you will need to make cutouts for the turtle’s legs.

...and invent

But a bat made from a tire, see next. rice. on the right, a completely original creation, which requires the softest tire with a cellular nylon cord. And technologically very complex:

  1. The protrusions of the tread layer are cut off from the workpiece (the damping layer is not exposed under any circumstances!) The most convenient way to do this is with a shoemaker’s knife-jamb;
  2. the tire is cut crosswise in one place and turned inside out;
  3. the outline of the figure is marked on the workpiece;
  4. the inner protective layer is cut along the contour lines just short of reaching the middle layer;
  5. one part of the inner layer to be removed is heated with industrial phenome;
  6. heating is carried out in fits and starts of 1-3 minutes per area;
  7. after each portion of heating, try to pry off the inner layer with the tip of a sharp knife;
  8. as it begins to peel off from the middle one, they heat this area further and further, gradually separating the inner layer;
  9. the following areas to be removed are removed similarly to paragraphs. 6-8;
  10. When everything unnecessary has been removed, the figure is finally decorated.

To manually obtain a spectacular craft from a tire in this way at home, you need remarkable ingenuity, perseverance, accuracy, nerves of steel and iron hand. But the result is obvious.

Used car tires do not need to be thrown away. After using them for their intended purpose, you can use the tires to decorate the yard or garden plot. More interesting ideas you can see it in others, but why not try to do the same near your home? After all, the process of making many crafts is very simple.
Giraffe
For this interesting figure, you need to dig one large tire into the ground, up to the middle of the circle. Secure a tall round log in front with self-tapping screws. You need to attach a muzzle to it - a small frame of a tree. Eyes and ears can be cut out from a plastic bottle or a piece of linoleum. All that remains is to paint everything yellow and make brown spots.

Zebra
This figure is made in exactly the same way as the giraffe, only the paint needed is white and black.

Elephant
To make this you need 2 tires of the same size. Fix them together with self-tapping screws and attach them to the board (base). The elephant's head is a 10 liter plastic canister, ears are ovals from the same canister. The trunk is a piece of old corrugated pipe, the eyes are lids from canisters. Eyelashes can be cut from a plastic bottle. It is better to paint the elephant gray, or you can turn it into a cartoon orange character.

bear
This figure is made from two tires different sizes, connected to each other. The large tire is the body, and the small one is the head. To make the structure more stable than a tire, you can put it on a thin metal rod. You cut out the ears from plastic or linoleum. To cover the circles in the middle of the tires, you can use hardboard. If desired, the figurine can also have paws cut out of linoleum. After painting the bear becomes attractive decorative decoration garden

Matryoshka
An original Russian toy – matryoshka. It can also be made from used tires. A total of 7 tires will be required. Five of them are attached to one another in a horizontal position - this is the torso. For greater fixation, you can place a tall log buried in the ground inside. A tire is attached vertically to the edge of this log - this is the head, the hollow holes are closed with circles of hardboard. On the sides you can place hands from a tire cut in half. Afterwards, you need to paint everything with bright colors and depict a face. It turns out to be an interesting lady-madam.

Mickey Mouse
You can make two cartoon characters: a boy and a girl. Each character requires 4 tires. Two bearings are placed on the ground in a horizontal position, and two figure-eight tires are attached to them. The entire structure is supported by wood. Mickey Mouse's ears are made from plastic bucket lids, and his arms are made from pieces of plastic pipe. The bows, skirt, palms and faces must be cut out of linoleum. The lower tires are filled with fertile soil and can be used as mini-flower beds.
After painting, the characters look simply gorgeous and attractive!

Recycling car tires is becoming an integral part of our lives. Everyone solves this problem in their own way. Tire car for the playground! Many people like this idea.

The kids are simply delighted with this craft, and adults look at it with admiration. Considering that the tires are resistant to negative external influences, this design will please the eye for many years.

For parents with small children, arranging a playground in their country house or street will require little time and do not require any financial expenses. And the children will play without distracting their parents from important matters.

You can make crafts for such a site yourself, even if you have never done this before. Ideas and work procedures can be found on the Internet. Most often they are made from plastic bottles and tires. There is nothing complicated in manufacturing.

The main thing is desire and a little time.

You will not need to spend money on purchasing expensive materials, since the tires will be gladly given away by car service workers, who usually have a sufficient amount of them. Craftsmen make a lot of things out of tires: swings, sports equipment, flower beds, etc.

Types of machines

Transport is a constant success among boys, and even modern girls. Therefore, you can start by making a car for children. A car made from tires for a playground can be of various brands (types) - from very simple to quite complex.

Instructions for making a car from wheels

The most simple option will bury a steering wheel from a real car and a seat into a quadrangle made of tires.

It is better to choose a place for the site where the craft will be installed that is illuminated, spacious, and located close to the house. The best covering would be a backfill of sand or a lawn, which will have to be cleared of stones and glass to protect children from injury.

Machine-shop

It won't be difficult to make it. To do this, after thoroughly cleaning and painting the board, it is secured between tires of the same size. These will be the rear wheels. The front ones can be done in the same way. But you can install only one wheel in the center so that the craft resembles a racing car.

The depth of the holes for the wheels of the car should be such that the latter are hidden up to the disk. Then transport will be sustainable. After covering them with soil, compact it well. It is better to dig in tires with rims. But, if they are not there, you can replace them with plywood to give the structure rigidity.

Linoleum is used to imitate flooring, but it can be replaced with plywood. To prevent the wind from picking up the linoleum, it is advisable to dig the steering wheel into the ground through it. The tilt of the steering wheel is selected in accordance with the height of a particular child.

Truck made from tires

Make as truck Maybe a children's sandbox.

Manufacturing of seats

The seat can be made from one tire or by placing two on top of each other.

In the simplest version, they are limited to mounting plywood on tires. If you want to make it more comfortable, you will need a backrest. You can upholster the seat with something soft - foam rubber, carpet, blanket.

A plastic chair that is not used at home, wooden seats from chairs, or old armchairs will do. Having sawed off the legs, they are fastened, fixing them with self-tapping screws.

The parts are washed and dried well before painting. After this, the brand new car is painted in your preferred colors.

To make the craft more similar to the original, headlights are added. Jar lids will work for them.

And the next model is for the kids of the whole yard, because it allows you to travel with a large group.

What else will help make it look like a real car?

Doors attached to the craft will undoubtedly make the craft look like a real car. For playing with the machine large quantity children, make several rows of seats (2-3). If there is an extra tire, make a spare tire by attaching it to the back and writing the number in paint.

A car roof covered with linoleum, in addition to making it look like a real car, will protect against sun rays and a little rain. To secure it you will need wooden blocks shaped like the letter “P”. You need 3 pieces in total. Two structures are installed in the rear part above the machine (it is better to dig them into the ground), the third is closer to the front. They are connected from above with bars to form a horizontal frame, onto which linoleum is secured on top with screws or nails.

For a racing car you need to find 5 tires of the same size. A little effort from parents and they will turn into a wonderful car that will not leave the child indifferent.

Three tires are enough to make a car like the one in the photo below. On it, little racers will not be able to race across the expanses of the planet, but they will play with pleasure.

For “cool” kids you can make a motorcycle. You really have to use your imagination. But the happy faces of the owners of such bikes will be a reward for caring parents.

In our article we will talk about DIY garden tire crafts. In the photo in the first part of the article - useful crafts that will make the life of any summer resident more convenient. In the second part we have collected for you the most bright decorative crafts made from tires- flowerpots, swans, hanging pots for hanging flowers and master classes on making them.

Part I. Useful DIY crafts from tires

Non-slip tracks

Number one in our hit parade is tire tracks. Firstly, you will no longer have to deal with grass growing on your walkways. Secondly, Reliable protectors will prevent you from slipping. Thirdly, with such paths you will not bring dirt into the house.

Tire tracks are durable, and they are not difficult to make: cut off the treads and use nails (or better yet, self-tapping screws) to attach them to several cross sticks.

Reliable steps

Anyone who has ever fallen from a ladder will appreciate the reliability of the coating on these steps.

Textured border

Tires most often have quite beautiful drawing. It can be used to decorate the lower part of a small utility room. At the same time, you will protect the walls from the inevitable dust and dirt.

Before making such a craft from tires It is important to ensure that the tread lengths are same pattern enough to decorate the entire room.

Cheap tire seat

Who would have thought, but tires are convenient to use as garden “ottomans” - however, they are quite hard. These DIY tire crafts are easy to make, the only drawback is that they are quite heavy and not very convenient to drag.

Convenient bike parking

Do you have a family of avid cyclists? Make a bike rack out of tires for the whole family. And most importantly, when a new cyclist arrives, it will be very easy to expand.

Part II. DIY decorative crafts from tires

Ground flowerpots

A “daisy” is cut out from the top of the tire, then the tire is turned inside out. All that remains is to paint it, and the flower container will be ready. If the tire is not removed from the base, you can make a flowerpot with a leg.

The most labor-intensive operation is turning the tire out. There is a little trick: when you turn the tire about halfway out, press on it to make an oval - then the work will become easier.

Combine several tires, experiment with the shape of the petals and coloring, and your crafts - flowerpots made from tires - will be unlike others.

Tire swans

Swans are a classic craft made from tires. The technology is about the same. The photo shows instructions for this DIY garden tire craft.

1. Draw a cutting diagram on the tire.

2. Cut the tire according to the pattern (first the head, then the tail and feathers).

3. Turn the tire out.

4. Make a beak and paint it red.

5. Place the 2 halves of the head together, insert the beak between them, and fasten them with self-tapping screws.

6. Raise your head and press it down a little. Secure the resulting fold with self-tapping screws.

7. Color the swan and decorate the eyes to cover the screws.

Tire cutting options may vary slightly. Choose the one you like best.

Exotic birds made from tires

Do you have a garden or vegetable garden and old unnecessary tires? Then you simply must make a cute craft. It will become the pride of your site if you do everything diligently and carefully. This does not require any special financial expenses, but the time needed is from a couple of hours to a couple of days.

Complex tire products

Now let's move on to considering more labor-intensive options for crafts made from tires. In fact, they are only slightly more complex than the previous ones. You will see this for yourself when you take a look at the master classes.

Making a swan

Manufacturing involves cutting, so it is better to take very worn rubber with a longitudinal pattern. The first stage of work is marking. Draw a swan's neck on the tire as shown in the photo. It should take up approximately half the length of the tire. Next, draw the outlines of the head (length about 10 cm) and beak (slightly shorter). The tail will begin where the beak originates, and therefore will have a forked end. Make it the same width as the neck, and let the length be about 30 cm.

Now it's time to move on to cutting. Depending on the condition and thickness of the rubber, perform the work using a shoe knife, grinder or jigsaw. It is better to cut on both sides of the tire in parallel. Having finished cutting, we begin to turn the workpiece inside out.

The next stage is strengthening the neck and tail. To do this, make two holes along these parts every 15 cm. You will thread metal staples into them that will hold the rigid rod. After this, the neck and tail need to be given a beautiful bend.

The final stage is painting. You can make yourself either a white or a black swan. Let the beak be red. That's all.

Glamorous flowerpot

Previously, we looked at simple flowerpots made from tires for the garden plot. Now turn your attention to a more complex and attractive option. Draw a gigzag line on the tire and cut along it. When finished, turn the tire inside out. The cut piece usually serves as a stand. Now take some paint outdoor works any color and decorate your flowerpot to completion.

quiet lake

Today people are trying to decorate their yards, summer cottages and gardens with whatever they can. Designers received a lot of ideas that can be safely translated into reality. The use of such improvised materials as used tires has led to the fact that in the gardens and vegetable gardens of the plots there are real masterpieces made by hand.

It is worth noting that garden crafts can decorate any area. It could even be a sandbox in the yard, a flower bed, a swing or garden beds.

For example, to make a flowerbed from a car tire, you don’t need to guess too much. You just take a used tire and fill it with earth. But it won't be a masterpiece. Now, if you take paints, decorate the outside of the tire, or even better, put three wheels - one on top of the other - then you will get a real masterpiece.

If you want to do something unusual, you can take tires various diameters. With the largest one, we start laying out the rubber from the bottom.

You can even fix an impromptu flower bed to a tree. To cover the tire on one side, you can use any material that can support the weight of the earth.

Dreamers even came up with two cups that are made of tires and stand on the site. The main bowl is cut out, and the handles can be made of metal tape.

Another idea - figures of animals from used car tires. They will put your guests in the mood in the garden or garden.

Most popular in garden crafts the figurine is a swan. To make a bird, you will need a tire that does not have a metal cord.

This will make it easier to cut the rubber. We are marking our future crafts. We cut the tire with a very sharp knife or hacksaw. To strengthen the swan's neck, use metal rods. At the end we paint the bird.

From old car tires you can make a turtle, a zebra and even a horse. To make a beast, you need to dig a beam into the ground along with a tire. In order for the animal to look like itself, it is necessary to apply certain colors with paint.

On summer cottage Furniture made from car tires will look great. You can even do comfortable options using various soft pads. Everything that can be useful in this craft is used. If you like to relax in the garden in the evenings, then several personal chairs, which can be placed close to each other, are best suited.

There can be no difficulty in making crafts. We fantasize, and nothing will go wrong with you more than an hour. There is no need to take thick and rough tires, the reinforcing fiber of which can cause wounds.

Each of us remembers a swing made of car tires in the garden from childhood. Pastime then was not complete without a swing. And now you can make crafts with your own hands from old tires. It is worth noting that a swing made of tires will be safer for a child than one made of wood or metal. So, what do you need to make a tire swing? First, we find a branch that is strong and slopes toward the ground. Secondly, we collect the following tools: a knife, a hacksaw, rope or chains and the tires themselves.

We make a loop at the end of the rope. You need to make sure that the knot is strong. We place the tire vertically. The rope is passed through the wheel and tied firmly above the ground at a height of a meter.

DIY flower beds in the garden

Real fun for children are tracks and various paths that can be made from tires various sizes. You can make a regular path on the site out of tires. To do this, you will need large tires - for example, from a truck. It is only necessary to cut off the part with the tread, and then spread the strips on the area, additionally securing it to the ground.

Playground from papay10 - continued

And I still want to brag!!! The woman who cleans our house brought me two wooden sawn cuts. Maybe, he says, it will be useful to you, someone threw it away. Well, of course it will come in handy!!! I thought a little and made Winnie the Pooh out of this stuff!

And what is a bear without a hive of honey? I made hives, and even with bees. Bees from egg containers from Kinder Surprises (toothpick spout, wings from a plastic bottle). Well, Piglet asked to join Winnie the Pooh for company. They cut down a tree nearby, and I slowly pulled away one of the logs! My husband sawed it up and here you have Piglet, in person!!! I cut out the paws of both Winnie and Piglet from the remains of linoleum, painted them and stapled them in place! In general, this is what a company turned out to be!!!

Yes, I forgot to add, I did make “Swan Lake” after all!

Swan, stork, flamingo and tire goose (Video)

A resident of the Rostov region made decorative swan, stork, flamingo and goose from very unusual material- from car tires. It all started with a textbook and a pair of used wheels. Galina Goncharova came up with the idea to make good use of unnecessary trash. The entrance went with scissors and nails. Now in her garden you can study the chapter on birds in 6th grade biology.

The rubber pink flamingo, stork, swan and goose now share the same territory. It used to take a whole day for one bird. Now the master works with tires, what is called “from the wheels”. The swan comes to life in a couple of hours. Despite the fact that there is no longer room in the garden for the future woodpecker and owl, the crafts are not for sale - Galina Goncharova only gives them as gifts. He says the hobby is just for the soul.

“TV is one murder - one and the same. But you do this and admire it. I didn’t even notice how the winter flew by,” explains needlewoman Galina Goncharova.

After successfully using tires, Galina Goncharova realized that she could work with anything she could get her hands on. An example of this is a golden candlestick. It looks very romantic, and it contains three bent electrical wires, three caps from vodka bottles and one at the base - a mayonnaise cap. Lately The master often gets calls and neighbors come to visit - they ask him to reveal the secret of connecting the goose. It is very simple: the cameras should be without cables, then it is easier to break through. There are special cameras without cables.

The tallest piece in the yard is a family of storks. They are most useful - they work as speed limit signs. Previously, the fence was constantly knocked down at high speed - drivers simply did not fit into the turn. But as soon as the storks appeared here, everyone began to slow down in front of the tire masterpieces.

Foam drake from papay10

Well, I finally finished off my duck (or rather drake)!!! Well, I had a hard time making it!!! First, the entire cement mass fell off my foam base, then I, like ideidetsploshad, broke off its head, the unfortunate one. And towards the end, my little assistant broke the poor duck’s beak and tail.

But I really wanted to bring this whole thing to fruition, and so we began to resuscitate this half-corpse. She stuck two long nails into the broken head and placed it on the body. She inserted three smaller nails into the beak and tail. It turned out to be a terrible monster. But it was already difficult to scare me and I continued!!! I diluted the cement mortar thinner and coated the entire structure on top. I waited a little until the solution set a little.

Then I made the solution quite thick and began to make small lumps out of it and stick them to the workpiece. I paid special attention to the beak and tail, trying to give them shape. Here I stuck the solution directly to the nails. I stuck it all over the duck and coated it with liquid solution again on top.

I covered my piece with a plastic bag and left it overnight. In the morning I opened the package and, lo and behold! - nothing fell off!!! I closed the bag again and left it outside for another two days.

Two days later, I took my duck in my hands with fear. What a joy!!! The concrete hardened and it turned out pretty well (especially for the first time). All that's left to do is painting work. Well, this turned out to be easy. Painted with my loved ones acrylic paints with the addition of colors. And today my handsome drake went swimming in my stone lake!!!

Funny turtles At the playground

In the spring, I cut down old trees near the house and decided to make a playground for children. This is how it appeared:

Funny fly agarics and swans

Giraffe, zebra, palm trees with coconuts growing on them

A couple of funny flowerbed turtles

Children love the animal figures; they even come from other streets to look and play near them. Adults approve of the idea and are interested in what else we will have on the site. Lots of ideas, not enough time. Many thanks to everyone whose ideas were useful in making swans, giraffes, and zebras.

And our idea of a turtle is flower beds

Flowerbed turtle

To make a turtle you need a tire, a tire tread that is cut into 4 parts, a piece of plastic pipe for the neck, newspaper and tape for the head.

In the tire along the sidewall, cuts are made into which pieces of tread (paws) are inserted; for the tail, a small piece of tread is useful. The paws and tail are secured with wire staples. A head is formed from newspapers and attached with tape to plastic pipe. This entire structure is inserted into the cut and secured with self-tapping screws. After coloring, eyes, nose and mouth are drawn. The rest is your imagination.

I hope you like them. Well, that's all for now.

This is a turtle! The basin was asking to be thrown into the trash - the bottom had burst, and the handles had fallen off a long time ago. Now, thanks to , he has started new life!!! By the way, I cut out the bottom with a grinder (it would have been better with a jigsaw, but it died suddenly on me), and then I smoothed the edges with a simple knife.

It’s just a pity that there’s not enough time for everything, because... I have to bring all these ideas to life personally, with the help of one of my friends. But I have already mastered almost the entire instrument! All that remains is to learn how to use a chainsaw. But, as they say, everything is in our hands, right???!!!

"Autumn" sheet of concrete

If anyone decides to make a leaf... it took 4 kg of cement. Burdock leaf is approximately 40 by 50 cm.

Step 1

Pick a leaf of burdock, rhubarb or other plant. Place the leaf in a bucket of water.

Step 2

We cover the table with cellophane, make a slide of wet sand, and in the middle we make a mound a little higher to give our sheet depth. Cover our slide with cellophane. Lay out the sheet with the veins facing up and straighten it. If there are holes in the leaf, simply tear pieces of the leaf from another leaf and cover them.

Step 3

Mix the concrete: 3 parts sand, 1 part cement, water. The solution should not be liquid, so that it does not flow (slide) down the hill. We lay the cement on the sheet. The thickness of the concrete in the middle is 2cm, gradually decreasing to 1cm towards the edges.

Cover with cellophane in case of rain and heat. There is no need to cover it tightly with cellophane; leave gaps for ventilation. IMPORTANT!!! Leave the product for 2 days! If it is very hot, I advise you to spray the leaf with water.

When the product dries, carefully turn the sheet over and carefully remove the sheet. If it comes off with difficulty, you can moisten it a little and it will come off easily. Sweep away debris with a soft brush. I painted it with yacht varnish with the addition of yellow tint. I painted the leaf, which was not yet completely dry, with varnish. When wet concrete and yacht varnish interact, this beautiful result is obtained.

I almost forgot! It is important! It is better to cut off the stalk completely. When you clean, peel off the sheet, a hole will form. I had to seal this hole with glue for tiles, after inserting the stick.

How to make a swan from a tire with your own hands - photo tutorial

Unfortunately, I have had these photos for a very long time and I cannot indicate the author of this photo tutorial, so if you know where the photo is from, help me find the author.

1. Mark the tire, then use a sharp knife to cut the tire along the lines in the photo (this is quite simple if the knife is sharp) - depending on the tire it will take you from 10 to 20 minutes.

2. Then we call my husband to use a chisel or grinder to break the hardest part of the tire (photo 2) - this will be the head and tail of the “swan” - another 5 minutes.

3. Turn the tire out.

4. If you do it in kindergarten- do not forget to treat the head and tail well, because... Children can scratch easily

5. We paint the swan, by the way, a “bronze-colored” swan looks very beautiful.

Tire swan - option 2

To begin with, we take old tires, preferably “bald” ones, from a Zaporozhets or Lada, and draw cut lines with chalk as in Figure 2.

To ensure that the head, neck and chest sat nicely and kept their shape, we also used an elongated stainless steel plate. They bent it, giving it the shape of the head, neck and chest of a swan, and screwed it to the rubber with inconspicuous small screws. The plate and the resulting “cutting” can be seen in the photographs below:

Eyes were cut out of rubber and attached to the swan's head using screws. And after that we covered our swans twice with white water-based paint, only the noses were made red.

We installed the swans in the halves of the lids, painted blue. It's like our swans are swimming in a pond!

Flowerbed made from an old tire - master class

Step 1

Mark the cutting line with chalk. It is better to choose a “bald” tire.

Step 2

Use a very sharp knife to make the first cut. If the tire is soft enough and does not contain steel fibers, there should be no problems. Next, smoothly cut along the marked line.

Step 3

When you have finished the cut, remove the top part

Step 4

Start turning the flowerpot from the tire inside out.

Step 5

Degrease the surface and paint the tire flowerpot to your taste

We have all known the song from childhood “Stork on the roof - peace on earth” for a long time. And Alena Zinovieva, whom we already know from the village of Chastaya Dubrava, decided to place a couple of white storks in love in her garden, which symbolize peace in her friendly family. These beautiful birds are also made from waste material: polystyrene foam, metal mesh, plastic bottles and plastic canisters.

To make storks we will need:

1. Two 5 l canisters
2. Metal mesh for wings
3. Strong wire
4. Plastic tubes for legs and neck
5. Foam for the head
6. White milk bottles
7. Dark beer 1.5 l
8. Hose from a vacuum cleaner (can be replaced with corrugated material)

And so let's get started:
Author's words.

1. For the head I use construction foam 10 cm wide
2. I cut out the blank, highlight the eye sockets, and make a flat beak.
3. I sand it smooth with sandpaper, insert eyes (or beads)
4. I glue the eyelids, strengthen the beak with a part from a plastic bottle, gluing it onto the “Titan”. I make the second stork’s beak open.
5. For the body I take a 5 liter canister.
6. I cut off the handle.
7. I bend the mesh to the shape of a canister - this STORK will have folded wings.
8. I round off the “wings”.
9. I bend the wire for the legs.
10. A liter milk bottle is cut into 6 feathers.
11. I cut feathers.
12. I begin to screw the feathers from the lower part of the body.
13. I strengthen the wire for the neck and put a hose on it.
14. I screw a number of feathers to the hose with self-tapping screws.
15. Side view.
16. I cut the halves of milk bottles into fringes and secure them around the neck with tape.
17. I start with the flight feathers at the edge of the wing.
18. The second row overlaps the first by one third.
19. The third and subsequent rows of white bottles.
20. Paws from 0.5 liter bottles.
21. Making the body for the second stork.
22. Like the first one, I cut off part of the canister from the top - it is needed for screwing on the feathers.
23. I cover the body with feathers, but, unlike the first one, I screw the feathers onto the entire canister.
24. This stork’s wings are slightly open. The first row of feathers is from 1.5 liter bottles (6 pieces from one)
25. I screw the second row only to round the wing.
26. Third - for the entire wing.
27. I make the tail - it is short, the feathers are slightly apart.
28. I turn the wings over to screw the feathers onto the underside.
29. I make the last row, covering the edge of the wing, from feathers bent in half, rounded on both sides.
30. This is approximately what it looks like.
31. Each of the subsequent feathers covers the junction of the previous one.
32. We screw the wings with self-tapping screws and paint the birds.

Swan made from tires and plastic bottles.

Greetings, friends, we continue to get acquainted with the works of Alena Zinovieva. Today I'll show you Master Class on production swan made from tires and plastic bottles. On a personal note, I would like to note that over the course of several years I have met many swans made from tires. But this is the first time I’ve met someone like Alena managed to make. I hope you will like it too and decide to decorate your site with such a beautiful swan.

How to make a crane from a plastic bottle.

To make it we will need:

1. Old tire.

2. Plastic bottles 70 pcs per pair.

3. Metal mesh.

4. Hose from a vacuum cleaner.

5. Neck wire.

6. Foam plastic.

We cut off the inner rings from the tire, and use a jigsaw to cut out a triangle—the future tail.

We connect the edges with bolts, for convenience, cutting the tire in front.

We fasten the base for the neck to the tire with wire,

leaving a little underneath so you can insert it into the ground later.

Front view.
