Chicken marinade can be prepared in a variety of ways, creating vibrant flavors. An interesting option will be adding ginger to the aromatic composition.


List of products:

  • sesame oil (preferably dark) - 40 ml;
  • soy sauce - 30 ml;
  • garlic cloves - 5 pcs.;
  • lemon juice (15 ml), fruit zest;
  • chicken thighs (you can also use wings) - 700 g;
  • apple cider vinegar - 18 ml;
  • ginger (fresh or pickled) - 20 g;
  • Worcestershire sauce (Worcestershire) - 8 ml;
  • corn starch - 20 g;
  • sesame seeds - to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Mix both types of sauces, lemon juice and zest, grated ginger, chopped garlic, vinegar, honey in a bag with a special lock.
  2. Place parts of the pre-processed chicken into a bag with marinade, lightly shake the packaging with the product, distributing the resulting fragrant mixture over all the pieces, and leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  3. We take the meat out of the bag, place it on a wire rack set in a roasting pan, and bake for 25 minutes at 200℃. Turn the portions over periodically.
  4. Strain the remaining marinade into a saucepan, heat to a boil, add starch and 50 ml of purified water. Cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously, then turn off the heat.
  5. Place the poultry parts on a baking sheet, pour over the sauce obtained from the marinade, and bake for 5 minutes in the same temperature conditions, browning both sides of each serving.

Serve the dish by sprinkling the delicious meat with sesame seeds.

There are a lot of interesting recipes for cooking chicken meat. Most of them have one thing in common important point: everywhere you need to prepare a marinade or sauce that will preserve the juiciness of the bird. One of the most popular is honey.

Unlike the more common components of sauces with which meat is soaked - sour cream, mayonnaise or even butter - honey is a low-fat product, therefore, firstly, it is perfect for dietary dishes from chicken. Secondly, it gives a stunningly beautiful crispy crust and this is the main reason for its popularity. It does not add juiciness to the meat, so if you just want to coat the chicken with honey, you will have to treat it with something before doing so.

The most famous and simple recipes marinade for chicken with honey:

  • Chinese: combine soy sauce and honey in equal proportions, add rice wine or vinegar (1 part to 10 parts soy-honey mixture). Add a pinch of sesame seeds, grated ginger and garlic - their quantity is chosen individually, but do not overuse them, otherwise you will interrupt the taste and aroma of soy sauce with honey.
