Tips for a business woman - how to choose women's tights. All about women's tights - den, lycra, how to choose, what to wear with, how to care for. Very thin nylon tights with velor thread

1. The quality of tights directly depends on their price.

Controversial statement! In practice it often turns out that expensive tights inferior to budget ones in elasticity or strength. In addition, when buying tights from famous world brands (for example, Gucci, Chanel, Armani and others), you pay a large percentage of the cost for the name, resulting in ordinary tights, but with an expensive label.

Advice: look at the latest haute couture collections and then look for similar fantasy tights models from more affordable brands, such as Gatta, GIULIA, Fiore, Marilyn.

2. The number of deniers indicated on the packaging shows the strength of the tights.

Unfortunately, this does not always correspond to reality. The numbers indicated on the packaging (in DEN (denie) or DTEX (decitex) values) indicate the density of the fiber. For example, 40 DEN means that 9 km of thread from which the tights are made weighs 40 grams. The density of tights does not guarantee their strength.

Tip: strength of tights is given by various additives such as 3D lycra. There are products of increased strength, which is usually noted in the description on the packaging.

3. Black tights may fade on your legs.

In fact, when making lingerie and tights, dyes are sometimes used that can stain the skin. But these pigments are used not only in the production of black products, but also flesh-colored or colored ones.

Tip: try to buy tights from trusted brands, examining the product before purchasing. The color of plain tights should be uniform. As a rule, high-quality products are painted with high-quality environmentally friendly dyes, so that the color of the product is even and does not fade.

4. Tights with the designations RA (PA) and 3D are the best.

Let's understand the notation: the inscription RA (PA) most often means that tights Made from 100% polyamide. Such products are not elastic enough and may stretch over time. Perhaps this misconception is associated with the Golden Lady brand, widely known in Russia, whose line of classic tights previously included many products made from 100% polyamide. Such tights, even without lycra, were stronger and better quality than Russian nylon ones. But modern technologies moved on, and this composition is no longer considered the best.

The 3D inscription on the tights indicates that this model uses Lycra 3D technology, which allows the fabric to stretch equally well in different directions and achieve a good fit for a “second skin” effect. This technology also allows you to create various styles and textures - from thin transparent to dense matte, textured and patterned. 3D Lycra Tights really stronger and more durable than conventional polyamide ones.

Tip: pay attention to the inscriptions and icons on back side packaging. If you want to buy extra-durable tights, choose those with the double covered Lycra or 3D Lycra logos.

5. If the packaging of the tights states that they contain Lycra, then they really do contain Lycra.

Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Many domestic manufacturers do not have a contract with “Lycra only by DuPont”. However, they write the word “lycra” on the packaging of tights, meaning the presence of elastane in the composition. You should understand the difference between regular elastane (the general name for elastic polyamide threads) and Dupont's Lycra brand elastane.

Advice:The presence of real lycra in the composition will be indicated by the original logo, which can only be used by official partners of suppliers of this type of fiber.

6. Lycra tights should be purchased a size smaller.

It is not clear where this myth came from, that tights and stockings with lycra they stretch a lot and you need to buy them a size smaller in advance. In fact, you should always buy the right size for any tights. If tights or stockings are too small, they will stretch too much, which will cause discomfort and reduce their service life.

Tip: When purchasing, always check the tights size chart on the back of the package. The same goes for stockings.

7. Lycra tights are uncomfortable and restrict movement.

Perhaps this myth is closely related to the previous one. If the product is produced according to technology, and the size and type of tights were chosen correctly, then there should be no discomfort.

If, instead of ordinary tights with lycra, you bought medical tights for the treatment of varicose veins or compression tights, then some inconvenience is quite possible, since such models are not intended for everyday wear.

Advice: for daily use, it is better to choose classic tights and stockings without tightening effects, with a lycra content of 10-20%.

8. Lycra tights are hot.

Tip: choose the density of tights according to the season. For summer, buy tights with a density of up to 40 deniers, for the off-season - 40-100 deniers, for winter - from 100 deniers.

9. If the tights are shiny, then they are with lycra.

A very common misconception! Many women prefer matte tights, since shine visually fills the legs, especially in light colors.

In fact, the shine of tights is not due to the presence of Lycra fiber in the composition. Shiny tights contain polyamide threads of a special cross-section that reflect light. Usually, the model description on the packaging indicates that the tights have shine (for example, the model name contains the word Shine).

Tip: If in doubt, it is better, with the permission of the seller, to open the display packaging and visually check for shine by pulling the tights over your hand. Don't ignore tights with lycra - they come in matte and semi-matte.

10. Tights have always been an element of women's wardrobe.

Read the history of the appearance of tights and you will find out that the prototype of women's tights was an element of clothing for men.

They will be hot.
But density 50-180 DEN is suitable for the cold season or for the treatment of varicose veins.

To make tights last longer, pay attention to the amount of Lycra. It should be at least 10%. This is the percentage of addition of this material that ensures long wearing of tights. If you find that this value is significantly higher, then these are therapeutic tights (medical). If the lycra content is less than 10%, then you should not take them, they will quickly stretch out and lose their original appearance.

Acrylic (artificial wool) is added to warm tights. They are distinguished by their softness, they are warm and cozy in the cold. But there is one thing: pellets quickly form on them.

Tights with a cotton gusset can be worn without underwear.

To go with a short skirt, you need to choose tights without shorts. Can be worn with shorts under longer skirts or breeches.

Tights that model the figure have a density of up to 180 DEN and are indicated by the inscription “UP”.

To prevent varicose veins, choose one marked “Support”. Their density varies from 50 to 100 DEN.

Medicinal types tights that have an anti-cellulite effect or are impregnated medicinal drugs, can be bought at the pharmacy. The packaging must bear the inscription “Cleresse”.

When purchasing any type of tights, pay close attention to the toe. It must be tight, otherwise the tights will not last long.

The size should be selected based on the inscription: S – small, M – medium, L – large, XL – very large.
Look at the letter on the box of tights and compare it with the table on the back of the pack. See what size it fits.

The color of the tights should match the color of your clothes, but be a shade lighter than your shoes.

Probably, the inventors of tights deserve the greatest gratitude from women. They have become as integral an attribute of a woman's toilet as underwear. If at the very beginning of its appearance (mid-20th century) only flesh-colored products were produced, today there are a huge number of colors of tights. Let's figure out how to combine their color with the color of clothes.

Instructions

Black
Black tights make you look slimmer and “stretch out” your legs. But, contrary to popular belief, you need to be very careful when choosing a toilet for black tights.
Black tights go perfectly with small dresses that have a minimum of decor. Dark dresses with long sleeves, dark skirts and matching shoes are also preferable to wear with. But a light dress, skirt or pale pink shoes with black ones will look wild.
In general, there is a “golden” way to check whether black tights fit the chosen outfit. To do this, you should try on this toilet with beige tights. If the result looks better than with black ones, then you shouldn’t wear black ones.

Beige tights
Beige tights, tan tights are a classic of the genre. They suit almost any wardrobe item, any time of day, any season and for women of any age. By the way, the business dress code generally does not recognize tights of a color other than flesh-colored.
Naturally, when choosing nude beige tights, you should take into account the time of year and the general direction of the outfit. Yes, for a wool business suit great solution matte tights with a density of 20 den will become, but for the lightest summer dress - tights with a density of 5 den, 100% matching the skin tone.

Colored tights
Colored tights are contraindicated for women of an elegant age. For younger ones, they are a great way to extra costs diversify your wardrobe, bring something new to your image.
Tights in bright, almost extreme shades (scarlet, purple) go perfectly with dark shades of clothing. A dark gray or black dress, black high boots and bright red tights are just what the doctor ordered.
Interesting images are obtained by choosing colored tights that match the color of the lower part of the outfit (skirt, shorts). This technique, by the way, visually lengthens the legs.
The color of tights can also match the color of a knitted top, blouse or jacket. This combination is usually a win-win.
Colored tights can become a paired accessory to any item in the toilet. For example, to a handbag, belt or neck scarf. If all the items in the outfit are in harmony with each other, the result will be stunning.
Stylists offer one more thing interesting solution for colored tights. They can be combined with an outfit of the same shade. It turns out to be a rather interesting mono-image.
Patterned tights deserve special mention. To make the look complete, it is best to choose dresses and skirts that are longer than the knees under tights.

Clothes and accessories bright colors today at the peak of popularity. Spectacular products will not leave you unnoticed and will make your image positive and memorable. Pay special attention to bright tights, using them to create unique ensembles.

Pink tights: main rules of compatibility

Bright tights are perceived by some as a vulgar and provocative element of the wardrobe. Indeed, by incorrectly combining a color accessory, you can easily create a carnival look or become like. This is especially true for tights pink shades. They are a rather capricious and difficult detail.

The color of pink tights can vary greatly. There are both soft pink translucent products and intense bright options on the market. For each shade you should choose your own top.

Pink tights of any shade will go well with a laconic top made in black, gray, or graphite tones. Also, feel free to pay attention to the color options: dark blue, burgundy, purple. You can also create a monochrome ensemble with fuchsia tights. However, be careful: all elements must be strictly consistent in the same key.

An important detail in in this case becomes shoes. It should either repeat the color of the clothing, or ideally match the color of the tights. Other experiments here are very dangerous and can give the image a circus coloring.

How to Wear Pink Tights

Pink tights are a bright, eye-catching element of the ensemble. The accessory will become the main thing in your look, so the rest of your clothes should play the role of “addition”. Things with a black undertone will best achieve this goal.

For example, pair pink tights with a simple short sweater-dress with a wide collar. Shoes must match his color. If you want to add accessories, choose something beautiful but simple: an elegant wide-brimmed hat with no trim, a black flower brooch, a tiered necklace. If black seems too gloomy for you, choose gray tones instead.

It would be great if your set showed the contrast created using various materials. Knitted or knitted items are perfect for tights, and it is better to choose patent leather shoes.

Pink tights are not afraid to “coexist” with unusual prints. For example, a set consisting of a bright bottom and a top in leopard or zebra print looks impressive. This look would be a great option for going to a party or a date. Black shoes and accessories will help to tone down the “spectacle” a little.

Modern designers are doing their best to promote unusual, rich combinations. One of the last fashion trends was a combination of two unusual colors: bright pink and orange. This ensemble is perfect for the shocking, eccentric and adventurous. For example, wear a dress or suit in a rich orange shade with colored tights.

Translucent pink tights do little to show off their color. Therefore, they can replace boring beige stockings. Take the risk of wearing colored tights to the office, complementing them with a dark blue or emerald suit. Also, such a romantic detail will look great with pastel color dresses, denim shorts and skirts. To top the latter, choose a soft pink top/T-shirt.

There are many requirements that dictate which tights to choose for shoes in a particular situation. But the traditional rule of wearing sandals without stockings seems outdated when at fashion shows designers boldly combine the thinnest leather straps with thick, opaque nylon.

Sandals and tights: a classic approach

The very name of these open shoes is derived from the phrase “bare feet”, so it is initially emphasized that neither knee socks, nor socks, nor tights are worn with them. This rule was strictly observed by women of the last century, who used sandals exclusively as summer shoes while on vacation. This is understandable - ugly, low-quality tights produced in the USSR looked unaesthetic. The socks of the stockings were not knitted, but simply stitched, and the nylon did not always fit the legs tightly. Nowadays, you can find tights for every taste - without tight knitting on the toes, as close as possible to the natural color of the skin, as thin as a spider's web, but still most women do not wear them with sandals. The only exceptions are open-toed shoes - the model allows both wearing options - both with and without stockings, although many consider the first bad manners.

Stockings and open shoes: a modern concept

Fashion recent years regularly challenges established traditions, which is why more and more often in lookbooks and at presentations of seasonal collections one can see a combination of accessories, shoes and clothes that are incompatible at first glance. Now it surprises no one that bright sandals are worn with thick opaque stockings of a contrasting or thick dark color, and sometimes even with fancy and even voluminous fishnet tights. It may seem inappropriate to some, but if such a combination makes the image whole and bright, then why not?

Is it possible to wear tights with sandals: a convenient compromise

Why is it considered wrong to wear sandals with tights? There are two main reasons. The first is that in open areas of the leg, nylon is subject to friction against the skin straps, as a result of which unattractive arrows can form. Fortunately, manufacturers of tights and stockings are improving the technology for making this essential item of clothing for women every year, so you don’t have to worry about their durability. And the second reason is that even the most transparent nylon, stretched over the toes, spoils the impression of the image, forgive it. For this case, efficient manufacturers of tights have invented a convenient and practical innovation - models with open toes, they

Let's divide each shade into two categories.

1. Black. Clothes: suitable for small black dresses, dark skirts. For a romantic or sexy look, 5 – 10 den, and for a stylish look, 70 – 100 den. Absolutely cannot be worn with light colored hair. This is unsightly and visually cuts the body into several parts, which is unacceptable for short people. Shoes: only dark or, if colored, heavy textured.

2. Flesh (beige). Clothing: tone on tone, light, beige, brown and dark. The density should not exceed 40 den. The shade is no lighter than skin tone, preferably a little darker, with a matte texture. Shoes: elegant, graceful, brown palette or colored in a delicate tone.

3. Brown. Clothes: the best combination with bed colors (cream, beige, white). Thin tights in vanilla and coffee shades will go well with a black dress or skirt. Shoes: in bright colors or tone on tone will be an elegant addition to the look.

4. Gray. Clothes: all varieties of bed shades, for example: soft pink, lilac, beige, cream. A universal color for combining contrasts (orange and purple). Shoes: dark green, brown, gray and purple.

Colored tights deserve special attention. It is important to remember that this type of product is contraindicated for elegant age. But for the rest of us, the endless number of combinations and options allows for flights of fancy.

1) go well with solid colors (gray, black, brown);

2) you can emphasize the length of your legs or visually lengthen them with colors of the same shade as your clothes;

3) selected accessories in the color of the hosiery will create a stylish look;

4) in the color of a less noticeable ornament of a skirt, sweater, dress;

5) combine with the tone of the knitwear (blouse, jacket, turtleneck).

1) should match the tone of the tights or rough texture if the girl is short;

2) contrasting combination of shades;

3) ornament of hosiery of a single color.

It's just general rules choosing tights. Every year new fashion trends and more and more extravagant combinations of the color palette appear. When creating your own style, don’t be afraid to experiment.

This review of the classic Golden Lady stretch tights, which the author believes are suitable for both men and women, was written by one of our readers. Illustrations by the author.

Hi all!

I think it’s no secret to anyone that hosiery manufacturers began producing men’s elastic tights a long time ago. But you rarely see them on sale, and their price is much more expensive than usual. There are, of course, unisex tights, but, in my experience (I’ve been wearing tights for quite a long time), they are no different from classic elastic tights. Therefore, I decided to make a short photo review of classic elastic tights, which are suitable for both women and men as an alternative to long johns or sweatpants, under jeans, as underwear! For testing, I took tights of the following models:

  1. Golden Lady model Leda 20
  2. Golden Lady model Make Up 50
  3. Golden Lady model Ciao 20
  4. Golden Lady model Ciao 40

Review of tights for men and women Golden Lady Leda 20

Thin matte tights made of 100% polyamide. Reinforced toe, padded shorts. Without gusset. Since there is no lycra in the tights, the tights stretch out at the knees over time, which is not very aesthetically pleasing for girls if they wear tights with a skirt. But, for men, under jeans, a good option! Also, these tights are well suited as sleepwear if the room is cool.

My rating: 3 out of 5

Review of tights for men and women Golden Lady Make Up 50

Thick matte 50 den tights made of 100% polyamide. Reinforced toe, padded shorts. Without gusset. This is an analogue of the tights described above, only with a density of 50 denier. For men and girls, these tights will be ideal under jeans in the cool season. Well, I wouldn’t recommend it for girls, under a skirt, due to the same drawback as the 20 denier model.

My rating: 3 out of 5.

Review of tights for men and women Golden Lady Ciao 20 and 40

Silky elastic tights in 20 and 40 deniers. Composition: 88% polyamide, 12% elastane. Reinforced toe, padded shorts. Without gusset. Due to the presence of lycra, these tights do not stretch out at the knees from prolonged wear. Therefore, these tights are perfect for girls to wear every day, under skirts and dresses! The only drawback is that these models, in black, wear out the heel quite quickly! Not to the point of holes, of course, but it is clear that the fabric of the tights has become thinner.

My rating: 4 out of 5.

Well, in conclusion, I want to say that in order to wear tights for a longer time, of course, you need to take care of your fingernails and toenails! First of all, this applies to representatives of the stronger sex!

P.S. Also, I would like to note that when removing hair from your legs, wearing tights becomes much more comfortable! This applies, of course, to men!

Lycra (also known as Dorlastan, Spandex, Linel, Elaspan or Elastane) is an artificial elastic fiber belonging to the elastane class, synthesized by DuPont on the basis of polyurethane rubbers.

Lycra fiber can be stretched to 5-6 times its original length. In this case, after the force disappears, the initial dimensions will be restored. These properties (dimensional stability and elasticity) have made it possible to use Lycra in the manufacture of compression knitwear, increasing their fit and improving their appearance.

The main disadvantages of Lycra are its relatively low strength and allergenicity (the ability to cause allergic reactions). To increase strength, Lycra fibers are used in combination with conventional types of threads, and “twisted thread” technology is used to reduce allergenicity.

What is the difference between “regular Lycra” and “three-dimensional Lycra” (Lycra3D)?

More recently, three-dimensional (Lycra3D) has appeared. This latest technology, the essence of which is that the Lycra thread is knitted in each loop of the row, and also wrapped with a polyamide thread twice - first in one direction and then in the other. This allows the material to stretch equally in both length and width and achieve a better fit than “classic Lycra”. Thanks to this technology, even thin evening tights acquire increased strength and elasticity and last an order of magnitude longer than usual.

Compression tights Solidea, compressionstockings, compression sleeves

Men pay attention to a woman’s legs before her character and culinary abilities. Legs, no less than the face, influence the attractiveness of a woman. Therefore, it is not surprising that the cost of purchasing seductive tights constitutes a significant part of what modern woman spends on himself. Nowadays there are a huge number of different tights on sale. And in this diversity it can be very difficult to navigate and choose exactly what you need and avoid fakes.

“Women are still smarter: have you ever seen her lose her head over a man’s legs?”

The duration of their wear, comfort and, most importantly, your attractiveness in the eyes of men will depend on how well the tights are chosen. Today the site, together with OMSA designers, will tell you what you need to know when choosing tights.

Size

The most important parameters for determining the size of tights are height, weight and hip size. The sizes are designated: S (small) - small, M (middle) - medium, L (large) - large, XL (extra large) - very large.

Also, according to international standards, sizes from 1 to 6 are accepted (size 1 is extremely rare on sale). However, different companies may have different different sizes, therefore, when purchasing, you should carefully study the table on the package, which indicates height and weight.

To determine your size, you need to find your height in the vertical column and your weight in the horizontal column. At the intersection is your size. If your legs are too long, short, thin or full, adjust accordingly. When in doubt, take a larger size. Avoid buying oversized tights.

Compound

Natural cotton and wool tights are a thing of the past. When worn, both cotton and wool wear out very quickly, pill and lose their presentation. The main material for the production of tights is polyamide with various additions.

Almost all tights contain lycra (lycra), also known as dorlastan, spandex or elastane. Lycra was invented and produced only by DuPont. Tights with lycra perfectly fit the leg, do not form wrinkles, prevent loops from slipping, are endowed with softness and elasticity, provide absolute freedom of movement, have a modeling and massage effect, retain their original shape, and add shine to the tights.

Maximum percentage Lycra content in tights is 30%. 3-5% lycra content means that it is present only in the waistband of the tights - these tights will hang on you. Thin transparent tights contain about 10% lycra, 20% in medium-density tights.

The more lycra, the more expensive the tights. More recently, three-dimensional lycra (Lykra3D) has appeared - with this unique technology, even the thinnest tights have increased elasticity and last longer.

But these tights are also expensive. In winter, for warmth, you can choose tights containing cotton or wool, but certainly with lycra, otherwise they will “gather” on the knees and ankles, and, as the French say, “a woman can have wrinkles on her face, but not on her tights.”

Relatively recently, tights with a new polyamide thread Tactel of very high quality appeared.

IN Lately Microfiber tights have become widespread and popular. Microfiber is a polyamide thread consisting of large number thinner threads - the more of them there are in the yarn, the softer and silkier it feels to the touch.

Tights with microfiber are delicate, soft, velvety, warmer and much stronger than usual; they do not wear out on socks and heels. Moreover, they are not inferior natural materials on hygroscopic qualities. But they also cost more.

Inexpensive are tights with the addition of acrylic - artificial wool. They are softer and warmer, pleasant to wear in winter. However, they look cheap and pill quickly. Therefore, it is good to wear such tights under trousers, but not under a skirt.

Density

The density of tights has nothing to do with the percentage of lycra in them and is determined by the thickness of the yarn. It is expressed in denir or den (on the packaging - den). How many den is indicated on the package, how many grams weigh 9 kilometers of thread from which this particular tights are made.

Density 6-15 den have the thinnest tights designed for hot weather and for going out; 15-20 - tights for everyday wear; 20-40 - demi-season and 50-180 - for cold weather (they also contain microfiber, cotton, acrylic or wool).

The more lycra and the tighter the tights, the better quality they are. Thick tights also include products where the word “microcotton” appears on the label. On top they look like regular thick tights, but inside they are made of natural cotton - very comfortable for winter.

Corrective and massage effect

Modern tights can correct the figure, treat and massage the legs (here we are not talking about therapeutic tights, which are sold not in stores, but in pharmacies, and are purchased as prescribed by a doctor).
