Light indicator of events. Xiaomi notification indicator - change color, customization. How to turn on the notification light on Xiaomi

A modern mobile phone is a device that receives a very a large number of signals from external environment, allowing the user to keep abreast of all important events.

The relatively recently emerged brand Xiaomi is now confidently competing with the market leaders and is gaining more and more popularity day after day. In the phones of the above brand, in addition to high quality and low prices, you can find whole line nice additions and bonuses. One of them is the presence of a light indicator... What does it mean, what is it for, how to set up the light indication and change its color - read our new article.

Missed phone calls, incoming SMS, messages from instant messengers and social networks, notifications from the device and applications - all this can be easily found out thanks to the presence of an LED-LED, a small light bulb built into the phone and located on its front side.

The indicator light is usually located between the touch control buttons at the bottom of the phone or at the top, next to the main camera. You've probably noticed that it blinks in a certain color. Each of the colors signals the user about a certain state of the mobile device. Let's talk about the generic designations that are configured in the gadget by default.

So, if flashing:

1. Red light

When the red indicator is flashing there is a high probability that the phone is completely discharged... To check the device, you need to try to turn it on. The gadget does not turn on, but the LED continues to glow red? The gadget must be connected to the power supply and wait a while before it can be turned on. Please note that this signal is also activated when the battery is low (less than 20%) after activating the device.

2. Green light

Lights up during battery charging when the gadget has already passed the minimum charge threshold and can be used. When the device is fully charged, the battery goes out, signaling that the phone can be disconnected from the power supply.

3. Yellow light

Signal about enabled power saving mode on the device... Allows you to monitor the battery consumption of the gadget. Recall that this mode affects the background processes of applications, automatic software updates, data synchronization, wireless connections via Wi-Fi, mobile Internet and GPS navigation.

How to turn on the notification light on Xiaomi

If the default notification indicator on your device does not light up, we will try to turn it on ourselves. This can be done easily with the help of our step by step instructions.

  • We go to "Settings". Find the icon on one of the device screens or lower the curtain and navigate through it.
  • Go to the "Advanced settings" or "Advanced" section "System and device".
  • We find the column "Indicator light". We click.
  • In the tab that appears, you can turn on the light indication when the battery is charging and when you receive any new notifications. You can check the LED operation by simply connecting the device to the power supply.

Setting the color of the indicator light

Despite the fact that the indicator color is defined by default, you can customize it, that is, change it at will... Unfortunately, this feature is not present in all phones of the line. More expensive, modern and functional models (for example, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X or Xiaomi Redmi Note 5) have the ability to make the indicator light take on different colors in accordance with the user's preferences. The color palette depends on the gadget model. How do I change the color of the app indicator?

  • Open "Settings" with any in a convenient way.
  • Go to "All Applications" in the "Applications" section.
  • We select any application for which we want to set the light indication, and click on it.
  • Scroll through and find "Notifications". Click.

  • We find the "Indicator light". We include. If possible (in our case, not), select the color of the notification indication from this application.

To change the color of the indication of calls, messages and notifications from the device, you need to go to the "Indicator light" section (again, it is not available on all models!) And under the LED enable functions select the desired color for each of the categories.

If your device does not have this function or the color palette is too small for you, you can install applications from keywords LED Control in the title and expand the capabilities of the gadget.

Light indication problems on Xiaomi

It quite often happens that the notification indicator on Xiaomi does not work.

Two cases are possible:

Output: check the settings. It is most likely that they are lost, and the light bulb is simply turned off. We considered how to enable it at the very beginning of the article. Output: contact the service center or official salon. Several parts may need to be replaced, especially if the phone has been exposed to sudden temperature changes or strong shocks.

Features of light indication in different Xiaomi models

As we noted above, the function of choosing different colors is not present in everything. lineup stamps. Budget options are most often deprived of it and have only a white indicator for notifications and battery charging with the ability to turn off. This is, for example, our faithful model for photo instructions. Xiaomi Redmi 4X and Xiaomi Redmi 6.

And models such as Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus or Xiaomi Redmi 6 have a rich color palette. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 notification indicator also has different colors, but there are slightly fewer of them.

Now you know what the indicator light is for and how to turn it on on different models modern Xiaomi phones. We hope that our article was useful to you!

The instructions in this article are illustrated using the Xiaomi Redmi 4X. Please note that other devices may have other names for graphs and windows (see text instructions). This also explains the lack of a choice of colors for display.

Many Android devices have a light indicator that signals a missed call, an incoming message, or a low battery. According to many users, it sometimes gets on your nerves, for example at night. For such cases, owners of Android devices with versions higher than 4.3 have access to the settings of the light indicator in the main settings block. Owners of tablets and smartphones version 4.1 or 4.2 need to download a special application.

Since the number of versions and models of tablets that are operating system have an Android platform, is growing every day, you should not exclude the possibility that the description presented below will not work on a particular device. There are plenty of apps to experiment with notification objects, light colors, or blinking intensity. Among the most effective are LightFlow, Flash Notification, Notification Light Widget, NoLed, Notification Light.

If none of the listed applications suits you, continue the search yourself. Enter turn off / switch off notification light in the search bar.

In our case, the light indicator is configured using the Lightflow application.

  1. Click the Install button.
  2. Click the Accept button to approve access to data on the device.
  3. After the download is complete, click the Open button.
  4. Click the Yes button. This will activate the Lightflow app in the accessibility tab.
  5. The Accessibility tab will appear in System Settings. Tap the application name in the Services tab.
  6. Click OK to allow LightFlow to save your input.
  7. The app indicator in Accessibility settings should be from Off. switch to On.
  8. In the application menu that opens, select Settings.
  9. Scroll down in General Settings until you reach the Sleep tab. Here you can set the beginning and end of the time when the restriction on the indicator light will be in effect.
  10. Check the Glow / LED box. The notification light will stop working when sleep is on.

  • Android app Prof Reminder (Missed calls and SMS), version: 1.9.0, price: Free

Some time ago, phone manufacturers en masse began to do one very bad thing, or rather, they stopped doing one very good thing, or, more precisely, they stopped installing an event indicator on their phones. That's all. I also understand the lack of key backlighting - it’s possible to get used to it, but I’m not ready to understand the absence of a notification diode. By the way, it is worth noting that such a manufacturer like Sony puts these same diodes on the vast majority of their models, and diodes are given a separate place in the marketing strategy - so, they are made in the form of different stripes and beauties, and the color changes depending on only from events, but also from the background of the screen, for example. But the manufacturer, so beloved by me, went the other way - there is no way to set up the notification policy! You cannot select the color of the missed call or the blinking speed for an incoming letter, but nothing at all! They are all strange: cloud computing, most importantly, is normal and simple, and diode control is difficult and unnecessary ...

So, one day, or rather, last fall, the miracle device Lenovo S580 appeared in my life, on which the comrades from Lenovo showed all their creative nature to save money. For its price, it is just an excellent five-inch device in general, but dozens of "simplifications" led me to the need to use third-party programs (on the other hand, it is precisely because of this that I write everything here). Application Prof Reminder(in Google, this miracle is known as "Missed calls and SMS") and is one of those that are designed to facilitate my interaction with the device and in some clever way take on the role of notifying me about any events.

Let's get started!

The idea is simple: if there is no diode, then let's look for something else to notify. Accordingly, there is only one requirement for this something - it must be able to glow. Better yet, blink. Well, now, let's take a look at our phone and think about it ... In addition to the diode, of course, the screen and the camera flash can glow. And that's all. The developers went the same way, and the application just knows how to control the screen and flash depending on incoming events. True, it also tries to control the diode - the colors are different there, the blinking speed. But the trouble is, I don’t have a diode on Lenovo, and on Sony there is such a cunning energy-saving system that not every program can break through it and take over control - and this one: the first time after setting up everything is fine, and after - the diode sleeps peacefully and evenly and pretends that he is not here as it were ...

After launching the softphone, and enjoying the minimalistic design (it's good that there are still manufacturers who don't make programs in the "Material Design" style, however, it's somehow gloomy ...), let's look at all sorts of writing on the screen.

Developers offer different events to call it profiles - I don't mind, actually - at least strategies and tactics, if only it works.

So, by default we are offered three profiles: "Daytime - Calls", "Daytime - SMS" and "Nighttime". But we will not open them yet. I propose to consider the functionality of the application on the example of creating a new profile, because no theoretical lesson can be compared with a practical one.

To create a new profile, we need a plus sign (logical, familiar, correct). And here we already see interesting menu with a choice of "Wizard", "Simple Profile" and "For Applications".

Let me explain a little. The "wizard" will guide us through all stages of creation by the handle. We'll come back to it, but later. "For applications" - interesting and useful - allows you to set up notifications for absolutely any applications (of course, absolutely any are not interesting to us, but we would like to know about messages in Viber), only one minus - the option is paid. The joy is worth about two dollars.

The third point, "Simple Profile" - is exactly what you need! Lots of lines, lots of letters, a slider-slider - it would seem that the perfect thing to just look, spit on all these notifications and uninstall the program. In fact, everything is extremely simple and logical.

First of all, I would like to note that all the inscriptions are "taped" - we press on the inscription, we get into its options. We start from the top.

In the "Remind about" column (with the drawn envelopes), we will choose what, in fact, remind us of. We can create one profile for all missed events: calls, SMS, MMS, or we can, for example, make three different ones - for each type. That's why at this point we choose what we want. An interesting thing - "Ignore short ringtone ..." and the slider - helps us to avoid notifications about erroneous calls, for example. So a person dialed a number, thought right there: "Oh, him, this is a telephone conversation" - and dropped it. The program will not notify us about this call ...

Restrictions are a necessary thing! First, we can set the time for activating notifications (well, why do we need these beeps and blinks at night?). By the way, this interval only affects the start time of the notification, but if it worked and, blinking happily to itself, came to the end time, then nothing will happen - the notification will continue to work! This is correct (in my opinion, of course).

"Locked screen" is a clear and intelligible option, only by default, for some reason, it is not enabled. We include. I don’t understand at all why we need notifications on the unlocked screen: we already see the call and hear the message (or vice versa).

Another paid feature is the "Contact Filter". You can set your own unique, special notification for each subscriber in the book: mom - blink with a flash, the manager - with a flashlight, the rest - you can put nothing at all ...

"By battery charge". We all understand perfectly well that no matter how the application is optimized, it will certainly drain the battery more than usual. In principle, this is not so critical and noticeable, but the extra 5-7 percent per day on notifications will run away. So, this daw provides for disabling notifications if the battery is discharged to the desired level.

At the same time, if the battery charge is below the mark, the notification will not even start. Here.

Easy item - "Stop reminder at". And then we choose what we need: watch the event or just unlock the screen.

"Melody". There shouldn't be any questions, right? Just, at the same time with every flash of the flash, a sound signal will be given. And that's all. In addition to sound, Notifier can vibrate. From happiness. That such a program is used by such wonderful people!

At the same time, we choose the vibration style: it can be a pair of short vibrations, or one long one, or three long ones, or one short one ... It can be differently. And you can also set your own duration. Click on the "Record" button in the center, and then, when the duration is enough for us, on the stop at the bottom. And "Save", of course.

With the item below, we will set up the flash template - everything is similar to the vibra, only now the phone will amusingly blink with the camera flash.

If you still have a LED, it makes sense to try to control it. What if it works out? Then we should choose a color (modern "light bulbs" give us the right to choose from almost a full palette) and the frequency of blinking.

This is what we set up the visual part. Now let's set up the temporary part. Fortunately, there are only two simple points: "Delay" and "Reminder".

The first is the time interval between the event and the start of notifications. It turns out that when you set a delay of 30 seconds, notifications will start working half a minute after the missed call, for example, if.

And now the second "simple" item, in which we will fine tune our blinks.

The duration and interval tell us how long our flash will blink until the application automatically turns it off (suddenly we will be away from the phone for a very long time - why should it be wasted in vain), and how often this flash will flash (for example, every five minutes). Of course, once every five minutes is uninteresting and uninformative, but once every 10-30 seconds, it seems, is not bad. But, of course, the battery consumption will be higher ...

In the "Melody" item, you must select the modes in which the signal will be. And in which it will not be, respectively. So, if we unchecked the "Quiet mode" and "Vibration mode" checkbox, then the sound will only be in normal mode and will not wake us up at the most interesting place. Slightly lower, by a similar principle, we will set up the vibration mode.

By the way, by default, the application uses the sound stream of the alarm clock (however, you can change it) and its volume, so we can change the volume of notifications right here. The alarm volume will not be affected.

And, finally, we choose what we will notify with: the screen (if so, we will select the backlight time along the way, but this is stupid - the application cannot turn off the screen, so it will go out in the corresponding phone settings, under the heading "Screen" ), flash or diode.

Do you want the first twenty minutes to flash with an interval of 10 seconds and the backlight of the screen, then another forty minutes - once a minute and a melody from the StarTrack, and then five hours so that our flash makes itself felt once every five minutes, but with a vibra? Easily! There is a plus sign at the top - we press it and create the already considered templates in any quantity, which will be included in order. This is an example, all these minutes and seconds can be any. And the icons show which of the notifications are on.

Created. Hooray. Here it is, with beautiful name"4" and a duration of 36 hours - this is the sum of our three templates. Now we should check his work, right?

To do this, make a long tap on the profile and select "Try". Please note that after you have pressed "Start", the screen must be turned off - Android features, when the screen is turned on, notifications may not work.

Let's digress a little from creating profiles and consider the remaining commands of the context menu.

"Disable" and "Delete" I do not comment in principle, as well as "Duplicate". But "Move up / down" is another matter. The thing is that the logic for displaying notifications is as follows: the application on top checks each profile for compliance with the conditions (the event that has occurred, the response time and the required battery charge) and only when all three are fulfilled, our flash will begin to flash effectively. If something doesn't work, move on to the next one. So, we can make several profiles for a missed call, which will be turned on, depending on the battery charge. For example, a full charge - frequent flash blinking and vibration, half a charge - frequent blinking without vibration, a third of a charge - more rare blinking, fifteen percent - rare "beep" no flash and vibration. This is an option. Another option is notification volume versus time. In a word, there is room for imagination. There would have been a time ...

Let's go back to creating profiles. The work of the "Master" remained in the same place!

As if everything is clear. I will note only one point - the template. We can choose a style of behavior. But don't customize it. Not yet.

But having completed all the steps to the end, we will tap on our fifth profile and at the very bottom we will see four "Reminder" items. So let's set it up as it is convenient for us.

What else went unnoticed? Power button at the top? Everything is simple there: tapped - the button lit red, and everything else went out. All clear.

There is also a menu. Surprisingly, the menu is very simple for such a program.

We turn on the icon in the notification panel without fail - and it's not about beauty. By default, Android gives higher priority to programs with constant notifications. Stupid, but true. Therefore, we turn it on!

"Action" is when we click on the notification in the blind. In my opinion, the most logical choice is to disable notifications, and then - see for yourself.

Below are two important points with flash and diode control modes - so if something does not work for you, do not rush to remove the softphone - give it another chance and try changing to an alternative mode. Sometimes it really helps.

We skip the point with a third-party blocker - it's clear and so, but we climb into the advanced settings (we are the experts!).

True, the options here are not that inexperienced, but completely childish and kindergarten. So we are offered to include two icons in the "Start" and "Stop" menus - they take up space, but allow you to get quick access to control. And yet! If you are using Tasker or Llama, they can be very useful to you!

And choose a channel. Just like that, for beauty. I advise you to leave the alarm clock. But if you select the "Ringtone" channel and do not check your own volume in the profile settings, then notifications will always ring with the same volume as the call, which is convenient if you change it often.

Let's go and buy the paid version!

Nothing has changed right away. Only now we can set a contact filter in the "Restrictions". It works according to the classic principle of white and black lists - we add a contact or number to the desired one and either enjoy the beauty of notifications or ignore it.

And one more great item - "For applications". Everything is the same, only instead of choosing a call or a message, we are presented with full list everything we have established. Of course, for everything to work, you need to enable the notification access service, otherwise nothing else.

Allows you to resize any widget, so I stretched one of the Prof "iks a little ...

By the way, there is also a built-in help, which is quite detailed and useful - without water, everything, in essence, is not at all like mine.

But what is not there - advertising. There is none at all. The free version is absolutely enough for an undemanding user who does not care about Viber notifications (namely Viber, not your Viber) and Skype - everything works fine in it. Everything is smooth, without lags and glitches, the device does not slow down, there is no excess battery consumption. In a word, a useful application.

By the way, the application has an organic intolerance (like me, in fact) of any task killers and optimizers. Therefore, if you still use them, do not forget to add it to the exceptions, but as for Sony devices, everything is complicated. You can try adding Stamina to the exceptions, but it is far from the fact that it will help; however, nothing prevents you from trying!

Opinion

What I want to say, if you do not have an indicator and you would like to somehow monitor the missed events - the application is for you.

If you have a diode indicator and you would like to configure it easily and simply without hundreds of strange options - the application is most likely for you (most likely because it may not work).

If you do not have an indicator, and the flash is not observed, and the screen does not light up - you are the luckiest of all - your Nokia with a flashlight is still one of the best phones!

Light Manager... The moment you receive a letter or message, your phone will try to grab your attention using the built-in indicator. But by the flickering of the LED, you will never determine which event has occurred, and you still have to pick it up. Until you install Light Manager.

Light Manager is an Android program that helps you customize your gadget's LED indicator. With this application, you will teach him how to react with different colors to certain events, for example, when a new message arrives in WhatsApp or an event from your calendar.

By default, the program already contains a number of settings for the most popular events. But you can at any time remove signals that are irrelevant to you and add the necessary ones. To do this, just touch the desired element, and you will be taken to the notification settings menu. Here you can set the blinking frequency, select the color of the LED and immediately check the settings you set in action.

If the program you want to receive notifications from is not in the list, then you can add it yourself. To do this, switch to the alternative mode of Light Manager, and then select the "Add application" item. You will see a list of all programs installed on your smartphone. Select the app you want and add LED notification for it.

Please note that Light Manager is able to report not only program events, but also various system events. For example, the app can notify you when the battery is low, no network signal, or when quiet mode is on. It will also not be superfluous to look into the advanced settings of the program, where you can set the signal blinking frequency, enable sleep mode (the time of day when Light Manager will not bother you) and change the time of automatic shutdown of the LED activity.
